I would also like to add Philippians 4:6-7
4:6 Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Steve, great entry for today, especially in light of the time of year. My last few months have been spent portraying the Epistle of James and, wouldn't you know it, Sunday's sermon, that's today's sermon, concerns opening our mouths and using the words and thoughts, yes, even our thoughts are audible to God, for the wrong reasons. We need to learn when to close those mouths and listen, pay attention, and spread peace, not chaos with the words we do choose to speak and think. James 3:5-6 NKJV are perfect for this:
Even so the tongue is a little member and boasteth great things. Behold how great a matter a little fire kindleth. And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it set on fire of hell.”
And we wonder why James and his little Epistle can do so much with so little.

Thanks Rainbow & Juanita.  I appreciate your encouragement.  Sometimes when I write about motivation, people think it is new age.  However, being motivated, positive, and optimistic is Biblical.

Forgive me for saying this, but somebody died for what people did.  So concentrating on the heading of your blog Steve, what more motivation do people want - than to help somebody else for what was done for them?  Anything else is just treading the boards doing religion.

I agree Steve, We have to change our mind set,
I believe the best way to do this is to
meditate on the word of God. There is nothing new age about this!!
I want my mind transformed. I want out with the old and in with the new,
way of thinking, perfect scripture, perfect blog, perfect timing.
Amen pandabear , one of the scriptures you must believe in order to receive,
And If I may add, Steve Bee, When we better ourselves we will be better equipped
to help others. And with Gods word how can we go wrong?

Stevie:  The Cross is essential!!!  Now we are to take the blessings of the Cross and apply them in our individual life and in the world.  To do this we need to love God with all of our body, soul, mind, and spirit.  Our thinking is a big part of applying our faith.

Great points, Sis Cece.  We are told to "be transformed by the renewing of your mind."  God has given us freedom.  We can focus our mind on the positive and be transformed or focus our mind on our culture and be conformed.

Amen Steve, once again you have heard what the Spirit of the Lord
is saying, The renewing of our mind, being transformed from Glory to Glory
to Glory!!

Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus. If I'm thinking like Jesus, I'm in my right mind. I'm left handed and we think out the right side of our brain.

I love it Steve, this is so true, He will keep you in perfect peace, those that keep their mind stayed on Him.
