| The Most Amazing Miracle I Have Ever Seen? |

13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
I was recently wondering what is the most amazing thing I have ever seen God do. I have seen God set dozens of alcoholics and addicts free and enable them to live a godly lifestyle. I hear from some of them frequently and it always amazes me what God has done and is doing for them.
However, what may be the most amazing thing I have ever seen God do, happened in Mayfield, Kentucky. I had been the pastor of a very small Cumberland Presbyterian Church for a few months and had been preaching about God's healing power.
One night a woman in the church almost bled to death from an ulcer. She lived with her mother who called 911 and she got to the hospital just in time. After X-rays, the doctors said she had to have emergency surgery to stop the bleeding.
She called me and said she wanted me to bring the elders of the church and pray for her. (I had been preaching on James 5:14-16 which tells sick people to call for the elders of the church to pray with them for healing.)
I called our elders (who thought I was weird) and asked them if they would go to the hospital with me. A couple of them met me there and we went in and prayed for the lady. I prayed that her surgery go well, but one of the elders, Lee, prayed that God would heal her.
After the prayer, Lee said to her, "I think you need to ask for another X-ray before you let them do the emergency surgery." She did and the new X-ray showed that she had no ulcer. The doctors let her go home and she was completely well.
As I told my wife about this experience recently, my eyes filled with tears. It was an amazing demonstration of the power of the living God!

That's right Steve, You had been preaching about Faith. She had faith to call you, to call the other Elders.
And then it took faith for Lee to believe, the very words of God that you had been
preaching!!. Wonderful story, great testamony. It seems as though you learned a very
valuble lesson, bless your heart.

| Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God....I have seen some really miraculous things in my time, I have experienced them too....it is an awesome thing to be part of any of it! Great blog! And I even know where Mayfield is...I've been there! |

| I have a brother in law that's a walking miracle. Back in July of 2008, My brother in law was admitted to the hospital via the emergency room. He was told that he had a bad valve to his heart that was causing congestive heart failure. He was in very bad shape and his chances of survival were not very good. That night he had a very bad reaction to some medicine, they stood him on his head for most of the night. He was sent home for a week after they got him stable. He had a open heart surgery to repair the valve with a mechanical valve. The surgery went well according to heart surgeon, yet he spent almost a month in the hospital. He had several set backs from the IV's to the needle picks that had to be changed out to a pick line into his heart. After much prayer God moved in his behalf and the healing amazed those that were tending to him. After being shocked to get his heart into sink, he has been like a new man. This past Christmas, he stood and testified to how God stood with him through the darkest places of his experience. He will proudly proclaim that we serve a healing Jesus. |

| We do serve a loving & faithful God. He does still perform miracles!!! I have had the privilege of witnessing some of His miracles. Praise His Holy Name. Amen. |

There is nothing too hard with God, BUT MANY TIMES WE THINK THAT HE DO THINGS LIKE WE THINK, WHICH IS NOT. His ways are not our ways and his thoughts are different from ours. | One thing that springs to mind was a 15 year old boy who was completely deaf. By that I mean he couldn't hear a sound. Something happened and his ears went pop, and although everyone was talking in low voices, to him it was loud - and he had to cover his ears up because it was so loud. And here's the thing. Up until that point - he had never heard the spoken voice in his life. So when the person spoke to him about what he could hear, the interpreter had to sign language to him for him to understand what that person was saying. So when his mother took him to the doctors, what was evident before - wasn't evident when the doctor examined him. Whatever it was that was preventing him from hearing - totally disappeared. That moment stood out to me - because you could tell he wasn't faking it. And the other moment was the look on the person's face. Although he'd been doing healing services for decades (yes decades), he'd never seen anything like that in his entire life. It was more of a shock to him - than the boy who was deaf. But up until that point, the only language that boy understood was sign language. |

| That is the God that i know and serve, that God that will do exactly what He said with no short cuts, those noteable miracles, that make doctors stand up and recognize who God is. |

| Love this! This is exactly the kind of report I love to hear! God DOES miracles -- even now! :) I've seen it, experienced it, and love to hear more reports of the same! Praise the LORD! |
