I don't know about you, but last night we had our New Year's Eve service,(well, our normal Wed. night service, but enhanced!) and it was absolutely AWESOME!!! The praise and worship was great, but, the Word of God is what was the best.

What was so amazing about it was the fact that earlier yesterday, I was talking to my son and his girlfriend about the New Year and something was just dropped in my spirit about that year. 2009- The 2 represents: "the truth of God's Word" and it also represents "Covenant" and it signifies 2 becoming 1=ing becoming 'Unified' or Unity or one and 1 represents 'Unity'!  The 9 represents: "The Fruit of the Spirit" and "Divine completeness from the Father"! 

So, what I received about that was 2009 is the year of 'The Fruit of Unity'!!! I told my son about that yesterday and last night when we got to church, Pastor Mark's sermon was on Unity in 2009! He said God gave him a word about our church being in total Unity in this coming year that this year was the year of the open gate to the promises God had decreed for our church. Wow! I nearly leaped out of my seat. Especially when he started to talking about the Unity part, because God had already told me that early in the day. It was definitely confirmation and when someone comes back and confirm what you heard in your spirit, you know that is a 'Rhema' word and it just pleases your spirit. Our church has truly went through a 'cleaning and transformation' this past yr and is in need of restoration and unity to be set back in place. God always has to clear out all of the old, to bring in the new. Even up to the last Sunday of December did he do just that. I am determined that the same has to apply to my life for this New Year. I have determined in my heart to do things differently this year. 

1. I have determined to set aside time 'daily' for fellowship with the Father, which is something that I really slacked on this past yr and I can see the fruit of it and did see it all yr long in my walk and relationship with Him.

2. Total committment to all of the Ministries I am involved in at my church. No slipping and slacking in them anymore and to operate in them 100%.

3. To be more committed to my family and to myself this yr. The spend that extra time with them and to give 'myself', my whole self some quality time!!!

Those are just some basic things that I know need my immediate attention. I not only look forward to the Unity within my church home, but also in my family life and my ministries. For us to grow, we have to operate as one and before we can do that we have to be unified in every area and I do believe that this is God's divine plan for our lives this year. 

As I said before, "I don't know about you, but!!!" But, I'm excited and ready to see just want God is going to do in and through the Body of Christ this year. Are you ready??? I hope so!!!
