It's All Good!

8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

Romans 8:28

No matter what you are going through right now it is all good! You may hurting, you may be depressed. You may be sick and not feeling well and in a lot of pain. You may be hungry, or thirsty. You might be angry or worried over what something that some one has done to you. You might be confused not sure of what way to go. You may feel helpless and out of control but take heart I have good news for you. All of the struggles and trials and difficulties we go through are actually good. Yep, you heard it right it is good. You see, God takes our whole life and works all things together for our good. Even the bad things He turns to good. I think of the life of Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers, thrown in to prison for no good reason, forgotten there for a long while. Yet God used it for good in Joseph's life. Genesis 50:19 says: "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done..." Yes, there are those that have hurt us and the Devil has sought to destroy us but God has meant it for good in your life. Those trials that you have gone through and are going through will you stronger and better and will bring about God's ultimate purpose in your life. What's that you say? What is the ultimate purpose in my life? Romans 8:29 "For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son" In easily understood English it means God want to make you like Jesus. If Jesus was made perfect though suffering what makes us think we will be any different? "Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him perfect through suffering (Hebrews 5:8-9). Take heart, it is all good! God has you and is working in you and through you to make you more like Jesus! No matter what you are going through be encouraged, IT IS ALL GOOD!

Brother Todd, Romans 8:28 is my favorite verse. We only see things short term but He works it all for the good long term. We have to stand in faith on His promises.

Hallelujah and praise God, IT IS ALL GOOD !!! I can say that I can be grieving one moment and laughing the next.

And why? I've learned that to depend on God. I live because I'm free! Thank you, Brother Todd for this wonderful, wonderful post.
