Hello, my name is RJ.It seems that those who know me like I had a bad 2008. But really I didn't. Those who have seen me, have seen me in a wheelchair. I can thank God that I have only had to use it on a part time basis. In Jujne 2002 I was involved in an auto accident which left me with a brainstem injury and set off a hidden disease. Multiple Schlorosis. By December of that year I was no longer able to physically work. My mind was there, but my body no longer cooperated with the rest of me. My Neurologist at that time had said a few things to me. The first thing he had told me was that I might as well quit college, I will never graduate anyway. Let me tell you, I looked for something that I would be able to do and changed my degree from Psychology to Graphic Design and Multimedia. I graduated in October of 2005. Thank you Jesus. The doctor had also told me that I would never work again. I had tried to go back to work. But again, my body was not accepting of that. But I am currently working on starting my own at home business, which will be made know at a later time. The third thing he had told me was that once I got into the wheelchair, I would never get out again.By 2004 I had been in that chair full time. My husband had to wait on me hand and foot. Dressing me, getting me to the restroom, feeding me, getting me to doctors appointments, church, and much much more. He is my gem. I thank God for him. My neighbor at that time would come over and clean my house and check on me while my husband was at work. She would also help me with the restroom and food and such. When my husband was not able to she also would drive me to doctor appointments and such.Something had happened to me. I went into a deep depression. I didn't want anything to do with God. Didn't want to go to church or anything. I had figured that since I was in the wheelchair that I had no purpose in life. That because I was in the wheelchiar God there was nothing I could do for God. That since I was in the wheelchair God didn't want me. The devil is a liar. A friend of mine, gave me a slap in the face and told me to snap out of it. That I had a purpose and that I was just on hold at that time. In 2005, February 11th to be exact, somewhere around 1:00 in the afternoon, I took my first step on my own and my speech had returned to normal. In 2002, when the accident had happened, I had stopped fighting God and his call on my life to get involved in the Drama Ministry at Heritage Christian Center. I am still there. I love the Drama Ministry. Drama is something that I had been involved in in one way way ot another since I was 6 years old. Once I was not able to help out on stage, I went behind the scenes with helping costurmes, later to be makeup also. This last Christmas, 2008, I helped oiut with costumes but I was also back on stage, in the wheelchair and all. The devil had tried to discourage me once again. But that's too bad. I found that he has no power over me. I need to make some decisions myself. The devil wasn't going to keep me from serving. I needed to figure out that God hasn't ever left me. It was myself that left Him. God is my best friend. He has helped me figure out things for myself. I go on with my life. I am back in college. Back going after my High School dream. More about that at a later time also. n 2009 I am looking forward to being out of that wheelchiar full time again. It's time to move forward. It is time for me to walk again ....... full time ....... no wheel chair ...... no cane ....... no loosing my balance ...... no falling! I am looking forward to that day! I am looking forward to that testamony to come forward. For this is only a test!!!!!

What a testimoney - God is using you in a big way. I stand in agreement with you in prayer, in the name of Jesus that you will be out of that chair. Amen.

This is one of the awesomest posts I've read in a while, RJ! I will choose to believe with you, not necessarily that you will walk again, but that God has something wonderful planned for you, for your good, and the good of those around you! (Yes, it COULD BE that you will walk again...so believing in God's plans means being favorably disposed toward the thought that you will walk...)

Lord, if you are willing, you can lift RJ up out of her wheelchair permanently.... In Jesus' name....
