Thanks Kathy!

I love exercise. I could watch it all day long! I am going to come back and read this every time I need a workout. Right now I need to go rest!

Much power to you my sister!

You're almost to the 5 mile mark and your week isn't over yet.  Keep it up!  Sounds as if you have already established good habits in that area of your life.

I am a very active person with a high metabolism but my goals are different from yours.  I'm trying to reverse my recently-discovered osteoporosis with special supplements and extra walking, with the doctor's guidance.  Was already used to doing 30 minutes of intentional "fast walking" before discovering the condition so am trying to up the amount of time spent working at it.  It seems to be helping so far; my goal is to not have to take a prescription drug for the bone loss problem.  I'm tested every two or three months and so far so good.

Keep moving!

LOL Michael!  I'm glad I could inspire you!  don't overdo it!    :)

Barb, I commend you for working to reverse your osteoporosis.  I believe there is much we can do for our health, beyond just accepting our diagnoses!  (Part of my motivation for running and eating well is my own diagnosis of MS.)

I run several times a week, with different sub-goals:  one day I run for distance (5 miles), another for speed or for hill-climbing . . .

Great, Cheryl!  Was this a New Year's Resolution?  It sounds like it's working!

I've been looking for "Same Kind of Different As Me" in a few local bookstores but haven't found it yet.  May have to special order it.

Thanks, Barb!  The book was a NYT bestseller, so it shouldn't be hard to find.  I know you can order it on-line from the link at the bottom of the blog (Jacob's Well), or from Amazon.  Thanks for the running encouragement!

How's your knee by now?  Looks as if  you're back in the swing of things!

The knee has recovered - this time!  Runners are famous for knee issues!  Thanks for asking!

well pretty soon in your socialist government they will decide you are not worth the trouble and will just let you die. Thats what liberalism gets you

GA, I like the Scripture on your page - grace alone indeed - for liberals, for conservatives, for politicians, for runners . . .  May we give it to each other as God so freely gives it to us.

Thank, Barb!  You are the greatest encourager!
