3:3,14,15. At one time we were foolish,disobedient, deceived,and enslaved by all kinds of
passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one
14.another. Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good,in order that
they may provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives. 15. everyone with
me sends you greetings. Greet those who love us in the faith.

3:4 but when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 3:5 he saved us, not because of deeds done by us in righteousness, but in virtue of his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit, 3:6 which he poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 3:7 so that we might be justified by his grace and become heirs in hope of eternal life. |
