This beautiful video of John Michael Talbot performing Only in God has gotten 1,500 hits on YouTube so far, and is rated at the top level: 5 stars. It is from a concert he gave in Florida.

I asked permission from the JMT Public Relations people to use it on this blog. I also learned that John Michael has recorded his 50th album, which will be released next month. It's called Living Water and will be in the solo meditative style shown here.

I told the JMT people I would ask how many of my readers are John Michael Talbot fans. So if you are, please drop me a line. If I get a good response maybe they will let me run more of his videos!

We've been fans of John Michael Talbot for years.  His contemplative worship style is unsurpassed. Years ago we saw him in concert.  It was a very moving thing to watch this man walk onto an empty stage dressed in his simple robe and sandals and begin to worship - an awesome use of a God-given talent!  Thanks for the post.

In the '80's I had a good friend who introduced me to JMT's music.  She and I used to play the guitar and sing praise songs together often.  This video takes me back to Mary Sue's living room and some precious memories.

Yes, he knows about the video because I asked permission from his PR people before using it - I think they/he were encouraged by the response it got here on MyChurch.
