The Perfect Blog
I think it goes without saying that compliments spark enthusiasm. That is but one of the reasons that we welcome all blog comments and stars. In the MyChurch blogworld, comments and stars = enthusiasm.
Recently I have received some really great comments, as well as compliments, from my faithful readers. And, because of them, both my readers, and their compliments, a desire has been sparked within my heart to write the perfect blog. And, within that desire lies the burning question; what is the perfect blog?
Does the perfect blog consist merely of text that is formatted in such a way that is easy to read? Is the font just the right size and just the right color? Do the photos which are used operate in perfect harmony with the written subject matter? Together do they paint the perfect picture of the thoughts intended? Do these items within and of themselves alone create the perfect blog? I think not.
In saying that is not to say that I never think. In fact, the reality of the matter, and the driving force behind this very blog is the fact that I do think. Sometimes, probably more often than not, I think to much. Some might even go as far as to say that I have a thinking problem. If I appear to slurring my thoughts here, you can most truthfully blame that on the fact that the above is true. I have definitely had to much to think.
The problem however is that how many of those thoughts are original? Some are, yes, but a majority of the thoughts I think are imposed on me because of the things I see, hear, and read, I think.
So what, you might ask, is my point? Well, I am glad you asked. My point, if I must repeat it, is how do I write the perfect blog? And how, if at all possible, would I ever know if I had in fact written it? Would I get some not before seen red flashing message on my homepage stating, "Johnny, please tell the contestant what he has won?" Would bells and whistles begin to sound off when I log on or would all of the current 220,481 members have left me a positive comment? I hardly think that would be the case. And to be honest, that's not the goal I strive for.
The goal I really strive for, is that within my own writing, I may spark some new thought for myself. Maybe a new revelation or a new and truthful way of understanding scripture. And, I suppose within that statement one could discern that my hearts true motivation is to spark within you the very same. Maybe something I write may set off a new idea within you that in turn refuels me, or better yet, the entire body. Maybe my desire is that no one sees what my left hand is doing while the right hand feeds your very soul.
So as to the original question; What is the perfect blog? Will the perfect blog ever even manifest itself on MyChurch? I think if you continue to read you would have to agree with me in saying that, yes, the perfect blog will indeed manifest. I think you will not only agree to that statement but you will agree with a very triumphant, yes!
You see my friends, the perfect blog is not only possible, but in fact the perfect blog already exists. And, it exists right here in this very realm, on this very site. Not only in this blog, or the hundreds of other blogs I have written. Yet it exists in what is currently 220, 481 parts.
Those 220,481 parts are the current grand total of participants here on this wonderful body of believers we call MyChurch. And out of those 220,481 parts have been written 251,901 individual postings. And each of those postings, I am here to proclaim, comprise what I am emphatically calling as of this day, the nearly perfect blog. Each part contributing to the whole.
I myself, nor you alone, nor any specific group, click, or denomination can claim today, or any other day that they have a monopoly on the Kingdom of God. We, you my reader, myself the writer, nor any of the other 220, 479 members of this congregation is capable of perfection.
There is, has been, and shall ever be only one human that ever walked this earth in perfection. His name is Jesus. And it is His Spirit, that lives, breathes, and finds it's dwelling in each of our hearts. And that my friends, is what produces this wonderful thing we have. This thing, this gift, this wonderful blessing we call life.
All praise, honor, and glory go out to you my King. Your words have touched, and will continue to touch our lives in a way in which there is no other. Your words are Spirit, and they are Life. You my Lord, only you Jesus, have left with us 66 books containing what will always and forever be, The Perfect blog!
To you Jesus, an infinity of stars!
In love, Michael

LOL! Michael, I think you're thinking too much. :-) The perfect blog is the blog that accomplishes its intended purpose. It may be in broken English, unformatted text, all CAPS, or whatever. If the words were written at the prompting of the Spirit of God then the Spirit of God will make them a rhema to their intended audience...and it will have accomplished its purpose. God has chosen the weak things of the world...for a purpose. :-) Woo Hoo! There is hope for me! Your brother, Craig |

Hi Michael
I agree with Craig. Also the thought came to my mind that the more perfect your blogs are, the more they may be persecuted like Jesus was!
Like Craig said, if it's inspired of The Holy Spirit, and filled with Love, it will be a LIVING word for some-one!
Keep up the good blogs! |
