| Cain't nobody steal the power of my hair! |

We've all heard the story of Sampson and Delilah. Sampson was born with long hair and Jesus commanded him to never cut it or he would lose his strength and be a whimp. But just like allot of men Sampson didn't listen to Jesus and found him a evil woman. That sneaky woman went and cut Sampson hair off. Jesus' warning came true and Sampson lost all his strength and died.
This story is my favorite story in the Bible, because it really speaks to me. See I first heard this story at age 5 and decided to grow my hair long like Sampson. Allot of people used to make fun of me in school, but I didn't let it bother me because my hair reminded me of the story of Sampson and how Jesus gives us power over the enemy.
This is me at age 5, praise God
This story also means allot to me because my first wife reminds me allot of Delilah. My first wife hated my hair and tried to talk me into cutting it off. She even tried to sneak in and shave my head one night. The man up stairs was looking out for me because I woke up when she turned the razor on. I told her that it was over between us because she was an instrument of Satan trying to take my power.
So in closing, don't let Satan take your power either. Satan tries to get to you through the things you love. Because when you love something you are more likely to let your guard down. For me my hair represents God's power. For you it may be something else. God's power is real, but you have to walk in the Spirit in order to resists Satan's temptations. Walking in the spirit can be achieved by reading the Bible and Praying every day. You gotta stay connected to Jesus. God bless. |
