The Door Of Offense
This is a very wide door. It leads to a very broad road
Jesus told His disciples they must carry some load
He said follow Him and His burden is light
Many do not follow Jesus; they think too much of their plight
Jesus told us of the load we must bear
Love one another no matter what they do to you, or what you hear
Sometimes this load is very hard to bear
As I read the book of Matthew and I meditate on His Words
I see that Jesus did not think it was really a heavy load
With the power of the Holy Spirit
The burden becomes very light
I will bless those who curse me and continue in my plight
Many exit the Holy Spirit and go through the door of offense
They continue much of their life on the broad path mindless of the blood that was spent
They go from Church to Church and house to house
Looking for someone to tell them what they must do
Jesus wrote the prescription to life for me and for you
We cannot get to heaven if we keep going though the door of offense
Jesus said we must be born-again. His blood is already spent
He paid the price and is waiting for me and you
He said love one another. That is all He said to do.
Please go back to the straight and narrow path
Stop derailing and ask Jesus for a brand new start
The Church should be inside of the human heart
That is where peace will lie if we choose the right path
If you get lost it is your own fault
Whom the Lord loves He chastens and points out faults.
The message was given and you choose to do it your way
I pray to my Lord you come back and choose the path He paved.
With Loving Thoughts
