John F Kennedy had an insight that we as Christians don't seem to grasp. On January 20th 1961 he said:

"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."

Don't be the type of Christian, if there can actually be such, who only asks what God can do for you. He already accomplished everything in Jesus Christ.

We should be stating and re-stating (and asking of God in prayer):

And so, my fellow Believers: ask not what God can do for you - ask what you can do for God.

he wasnt a very good President though....its much different when you are made a martyr

I will go on to say...we arent called to do. Jesus called us to abide.

Kennedy was very profound in that speach. I remember it well. Yes, your statement is one which should be studied well by those who wonder why they don't receive many blessing, if any. What "did" you do for God today? Plant seeds, try to explain the Word properly without your interpretation but God's pure thought? Did you lie down before you went to sleep last night and tell Him you love Him before you fell asleep? I ask this to any readers who may stop by. Think about it. You do not receive your pay at work until you do your job. Why would you expect blessing without serving Him first. He has given us so much in advance. Great blog, thanks!
