How much do you shine today?

Psalm 37:5-6 (New International Version)

 5 Commit your way to the LORD;
       trust in him and he will do this:

 6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn,
       the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.


This verse seemed to change when I got to this page, and I really liked what it said on the previous page. Don't you think it would be wonderful to be so commited to God that your righteousness would be so bright. I like the idea of the sunrise because God's light grows in us over time. It surely didn't start out like the noonday sun for me. I also must admit that there are days when it's not shining much at all. But I know God is here with me, helping me along the way so that as I go along His path for my life, others may at times catch a glimpse of HIS righteousness in me...WOW! What a concept... what a goal...to let His light shine out...through me. I'm amazed!

Anyone else have any goals out there?



37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. 37:6 He will bring forth your vindication as the light, and your right as the noonday.

Imagine the light ready to be released in all of us if.... we will "commit and trust" in the Lord! My prayer is that God will help each of us to do just that!

You are so right, what a thing to strive for. And thank you for using that verse to remind me that God's light grows in us over time. I want to be that perfect person so much, that it can be frustrating when I fall short and have a day when no light shines through me.

And thank you for being the shining example for me. :)
