| A Confident Faith |
|
| |
What a powerful and timely passage, it reminds the believer specifically of what pleases God, and the promised results of seeking Him. How consistent is His word, just last week we revisited the gospel of Mark, and discovered Jesus reassuring His disciples of the rewards for sacrificing for His sake and for the sake of the gospel in chapter 10:27-30, the promise of a one hundredfold return.
Therefore faith is not only essential to prosperity, but a necessity in receiving the promise.
11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. |
