| Love Isn't Enough! |

I suppose I should drop in to MyChurch more often. This is where I can find the daily encouragements, and be an encourager. After all, God says we are to encourage one another. I don't feel that I need encouraging, but I must admit, I do have things that trouble me.
I think I am most troubled by the complacency of Christian people. I don't understand why Christians do not care about their brothers and sisters, or fellow mankind. Christians stay MUM while atrocities are going on. WHY? Christians are just like the rest of the world---TOO BUSY to care! Too busy to pause and help someone in distress. Too busy to take a moment and go to a nursing home to donate time, or visit a family member. Too busy to call that new Christian and encourage them. Too busy to help out at a church social. Christians would rather turn a deaf ear and blind eye to the knowledge that right next door lives a child molester who has children running in and out of their house. Christians are afraid to turn in a relative who abuses their child. When Christians see a crime being committed, they would rather run from it, than to tell the officer what they saw.
I am not saying ALL Christians. But, I really AM saying the MAJORITY! Oh, we all like to think we are different. We are not that bad!!! After all, we keep our own noses clean. Hey! I am NOT my brother's keeper! Oh, yes you are!
I used to think LOVE was enough. But, it isn't. Even Christ followed love with action. He went so far as to die on the cross for us sinners. Love can't survive without action. |
