To wrap my head around individual "Independence" (which will lead to coorporate Independence) is getting harder and harder as I continue thinking about it. To truely be independent, it would be foolish to think we can count on ourselves solely. Even we will let ourselves down...silly as it may seem. But to be truely independent we must realize that independence is really determined by our dependence. But I find myself realizing more and more that we, as a society are afraid to be "dependent"... there is something that each and every one of us look to first when in need, What are you depending on??? We, at times, depend on the level of our success, the amount of money we make in a year, what college we get accepted to/or your children will go to, or how many materialistic things we can obtain, our bank account, our social status, our spouse, a friend, a pastor, a mentor...something...But what we must realize is this, to look to those things might help momentarily but it will surface again, and you'll need bigger help the next time, it will turn into a downward cycle.reoccuring over and over again. Ever been in a mess and thought to yourself "How did I get here again?".. Now, Being that God is in complete control it is difficult to think why anyone would not want to be dependent on him... But it happens... in our lives, I'd like to say almost daily, if not daily, then regurlarly... In order to truely become independent of what this world has to offer and take away, we must go to the source, God. It is only when we become truely dependent on Him, that we can say we are living Independently. As big of an oxy-moron as it might sound...In order to live in independence, we must first live in dependency...So i encourage you to re-evaluate who/what your expecting from??? 62:5 My soul, wait thou in silence for God only; For my expectation is from him.
Become dependent on Him like a child is dependent on his Father... Then and only then will we experience true Independence!!! |
