Lol.  You make me laugh and think.  I like the way you bring your way of life to your blog and how proud you are to be who you are.  Thank you!!!  And you are right "duct tape last for a little while, but God's love is eternal."

OK, about duct tape... I have seen the duct tape thing.  You are right it is used for so many things.  Hey, that would be a great blog... "Many ways to use duct tape",  and you already have a great list in this blog ;-)

Sounds like a plan to me. I got a whole heap of good uses for duct tape but I'd rather gives others a chance to share first. Anybody want a crack at it? Here's one to start...

Use it to get rid of pesky back hair! ouch!

How about holding up those big baggie britches! Or making a sword for a child's playtime. The last time I used it I put it on the back of a rug to fix a split that had developed.

For those wondering, after 3 days WD-40 will eat through a "cup" made out of duct tape.  Just 3 seconds later it will eat all the way through the styrofoam plate that you were dumb enough to put the whole works on top of, before leaking all over your desk.  And what was the lesson learned here?  Erm... I'm not sure.

Unlike this entry where there's some brilliant stuff (but no WD-40?)

Ummm..... a child who had asked their kind of warped grandmother to duct-tape their arms to their sides is unable to remove the duct tape during a 40 minute car ride home.  Watching child in the backseat trying to shoo a mosquito while their arms are duct-taped to their sides is rather hilarious.  Having child ask you to pull over to remove duct-tape is not such a good thing.  Child had to ride the remainder of the car ride home with arms duct taped and little brother shooing the mosquito because mom was to paranoid to pull over to remove the duct-tape in case a questioning cop were to come along and question the reason of the duct tape.

 *paranoid*

Thanks for this blog!  I am thankful that God doesn't use duct tape!  I hope you don't mind, but I think I'm gonna have to read this blog to my church (for the benefit of those who aren't MyChurch members yet).  You've got some good stuff here!

Awesome!

In the Navy they have a duct tape known as "800 foot down" tape.  It has a very strong adhesive, which can hold the water back from a hairline fracture in a submarine hull.  The adhesive is so strong, it will hold out the water if the sub is 800 feet under sea level (hense the name).

Have you ever seen the Red Green show?  If you like duct tape, this show is for you.

God Bless You,

Jess

Why not add some Duct Tape trivia?

If you have a wart, put duct tape over it.  It's been clinically proven to remove warts.  It doesn't always work, but it's really cheap - so why not try it first?  All you do is cover the wart with one layer of duct tape.

Any more Duct Tape trivia?

HI,
I enjoyed reading your entry.  Isn't that awesome....you were pondering how great duct tape is an how you can use it for everything in so many situations and God put that man in the diner, who was wearing that shirt saying just what God wanted you to hear.  God is so magnificent that he can work out all of these things so we can learn just what we need to exactly when we need.  I find I have similar experiences.  God just confirms His love, His word, His truth and his grace and his promises to us through so many ways and means.  He is incredible.  And I am so glad he chose me to be part of his amazing plan.  Thanks so much for sharing your experience it made me chuckle and it just validates all God does for us.

Once we had an old shed in our back yard and the wood was rotting on the door frame, on the side with the hinges.  Well the whole rest of the shed was in perfect condition, so we just Duct taped over the hinge for some extra support. Well about 2 years later we took down the old shed, Lo and behold the duct tape was the only thing holding that door up, the hinge was completely rotted out and the 2 layers of tape were the only thing that kept the door from falling off. That's the summer I became a believer... Great post Rich!

My daughter and I made her prom dress from duct tape for a scholarship contest.  She and her date were "famous" that weekend appearing in the local news and being interviewed on radio talk shows.  It was an education in duct tape, a fun, creative time, and made us new friends along the way.  But after it was all over, she decided she didn't care for all that noteriety.  She did not win the scholarship, but received an XL t-shirt which she gave to her brother.  We still remember that time fondly and of course always have duct tape on hand.

I love the T-shirt slogan. Thanks for the blog and for making yourself at home here on MyChurch. You've entertained, preached and given us practical information. Wonderful! Keep it coming!

My husband's best tip for using duct tape is "carry it in your car to fix the radiator hose when you're on the road and it gets a hole." Mine is to repair a hem.
