| Why Will Every Knee Bow |
|
| |
Romans 14:11 For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God [acknowledge Him to His honor and to His praise].
When I first read this verse, it troubled me, because I have also read many scriptures that reveal that God will not "make" us worship Him. God has always set before man, "Life or Death" and urges us to choose "Life". And so, it is mans ultimate choice. Just a few such scriptures are:
Ezekiel 33:11 Say to them: `[As] I live,' says the Lord God, `I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?'
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
Hebrews 10:10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for] [all].
2 John 1:9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
And so, I wondered, "Why would someone who committed the unpardenable sin (denying the Spirit of God his whole life) would bow before the Lord at Judgement?".
How can God say that someone who hated Him would kneel before Him without force.
Then, I thought about scriptures that reveal something interesting that happens,... at the point of death.
Luke 12:2 Nothing is covered up that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
Romans 6:7 For when a man dies, he is freed (loosed, delivered) from [the power of] sin [among men]. 3 Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive [his pay] according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil [considering what his purpose and motive have been, and what he has achieved, been busy with, and given himself and his attention to accomplishing].
You see, when we die, the affect of the fallen condition of the world and our bodies immediately drops away. In otherwords, the impact of sin no longer has hold of our thinking. Suddenly, prejudice, hatred, pride and all of the sin that clouded our ability to see or understand, will be missing on that side of eternity.
People who have experienced "near death" often report their whole life flashing before them. From the scriptures we have just read, the truth about all things is made understood (revealed) before man. From the truth, I have come to understand why or how it is, that every knee shall bow. Both sheep and wolves, saved and unsaved will suddenly see all of the events of their days here on earth. More real than a 3d movie, all truth will be revealed and CLEARLY understood. The truth that God loves even the worst sinner, and all of the times in each persons life where God reached out, tried to guide them, save them from painful events and even eternal damnation. When everyone sees how good, and how truly loving God really is, no creation will be able to stand before Him or not bow down with repentance, shame, and awe.
Now I understand how it is, that... every knee shall bow.
There is no argument about free will, my friends. The bible is full of examples of free will. When God set the Tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden and said don't eat it, that's an exersize of free will.
God has revealed Himsel to every man in one way or another and man has always been free to choose or deny Him. The fact that He tries so hard to sell Life over Death is just an example of His Love. He does'nt take away your choice. I hope you know Him today my Friend. He is real and He will come into you and live right there within you, today, right now. And you will be changed. Please don't wait until Judgement.
I Love You. |

2:9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 2:11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

| I,m well, my good friend. And I am glad to see your bright (2 meanings) face on my page:) I made it through Christmas, with Gods help. That time of the year now is like going through a tunnel. Sounds sad, but it's not really... The weight of ritualism and all the non applicable meaning that's piled on that Holiday presses in on me. What is wonderful to me is how close God seems to get in there and hold out with me. We finished the Love Series together during that time and I am excited to see what is on the horizon. I hope you are well. Thanks for being my friend. |

| Wow, that makes HUGE sense to me. I have read of near death experiences and how the people are changed afterward. In a small sense, trials here are just a shadow of this as they take away the junk. I love you too. |

| I am not afraid to talk about death, with people. I believe it must bother the devil when I do that. he has been very successful at distracting man from dealing with this critical transition we will all go through. Fear of what is waiting on the other side of death should be a sign to man that he should think about it. He needs to reason all that he knows or can find out about until the fear no longer exists. I am not afraid. Amen? |

Awesome Preston. I'm still a little unclear about how the judgment after death and the separation of sheep from goats will go down, but I don't think anyone can honestly say they know exactly how it will happen. But God is love, of that I am positive. I just read the following this morning: the bible talks about people being predistined to heaven, but it NEVER says anyone is predestined to hell. Hmmm, I found that fascinating. God bless you Preston, and thanks for your words of love. ps... I LOVE what you've done with your profile page! (And THANKS for the link to this blog!) |

| Thanks Mike, and you are right. I can't really be dogmatic about it. It just begs the question,.. He said He can not make us worship Him,... and then He says, "Every Knee shall... I just wonder if it's not because we suddenly see how AWESOME His love is and was.. hehe. Amen? Love ya.
Oh,.. About the page... my Dear Friend Brenda (Bren, here at MC) has been working on it and she is amazing. Thanks. |
