16:9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of [them] whose heart [is] perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. We find that the Lord is watching, he sees the whole world. God has a vested interest in his children to show himself strong in their behalves. Whose heart is perfect toward him, how's your heart?" How does God Almighty see you"? I would like you to look with me at some scriptures, that we can apply this thought too. 64:564:6But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Isaiah states to the children of Israel that we are all as an unclean thing. ( This also includes Isaiah,) How does God see me? Isaiah goes a step farther by stating that all our righteousness as filthy rags. How does God see me? I'm of the opinion that the very best, I can do without Christ, is bust Hell wide open taking a swan dive into the lake of fire. Isaiah was a man that God used mightily in warning the Children of Israel. God spoke through Isaiah when the powerful armies of Assyria had come to invade them, God through Isaiah assured Hezekiah that Assyria would be defeated. Israel would not serve this heathen King, God would and God did deliver them. Isaiah states that our iniquities have taken us away, James also states that sin, when it's finished brings forth death. 6:5 Then said I, Woe [is] me! for I am undone; because I [am] a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. How Does God See Me? After mine eyes seeing the Lord of Host. Isaiah in the presence of God's holiness cries out, I am undone. Isaiah had cried out about the sins of drinking and the sins of calling evil good and good evil. How Does God See Me? I am a man of unclean lips, I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips. How would you fare in the presence of the Lord? How would you see yourself, if the Lord shined his Holy Spirit spot light on your life? Isaiah had made himself available to God, when the Lord sought a man to make up the hedge. Isaiah said, Here am I, Lord send me.
7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. How Does God See Me ? The Apostle Paul was a powerful witness to the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ. He went from being Saul of Tarsus destroyer of the church to the Apostle Paul . We see Paul saying pretty much the same thing, Isaiah was saying about his righteousness being filthy rags. Paul said the good that I would, that I do not but the evil which I would not ,that I do. The honest to goodness truth, is we can't in this flesh do anything but fail. 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? How Does God See Me? Paul called himself a wretched man. Paul knew that Christ was his source, outside of Christ indwelling in us, we're all wretched. Paul goes on to say who shall deliver me from this body of death. Paul records that flesh an blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, there must be a change this mortal must put on immortality. Paul at the time that he was preparing for his death says, I've fought a good fight, I've keep the faith. There is laid up for me a crown of life, but not for me only, but those that love his appearing.
3:10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did [it] not.
4:1 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. 4:2And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, [was] not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou [art] a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. 4:3 Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for [it is] better for me to die than to live. How Does God See Me? Let's take a look at Brother Jonah. Here's a man that God sends to Nineveh to preach and He goes the other way. ( Tarshish ) The story goes that after God gets Jonah's attention, allowing him to swallowed by a whale and spending three days an nights in the belly of a whale. God makes the whale sick to his stomach of the backslidden preacher, and he throws him up on dry land. Jonah gets a second chances makes his way to Nineveh, "to preach of God's soon coming judgement on Nineveh" and Nineveh repents. This revival displeases Jonah to the place that he gets very angry. Jonah said, I knew that thou art a gracious God and would not destroy Nineveh, if they were to repent. Lord just let me die, it is better for me to die than live. Men have lived their whole lives desiring to see people come to God in repentance and Jonah wants to die. How Does God See Me? The Bible has several other stories of men having great victories only to feel sorry for themselves. After Elijah defeated the prophets of Baal, Jezebel put the fear of God in him by threatening to take his life, in the same manner that he destroyed the prophets of Baal. Elijah tells God, it's enough let me go and be with my fathers. In other words Elijah ask God to let him die. The beauty of the Word of God is that God allowed us to see those in the Hall of Faith ( Hebrews 11: ) as men of like passions as we are. God uses men and women today, those that are willing to yield to His Holy Spirit. God being no respecter of persons, will do the same through you that he did with Isaiah, Paul, Jonah and Elijah. |
