I have accepted the call on my life to Preach. 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God. 1:3 All things were made through him; and without him was not anything made that hath been made. 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 1:5 And the light shineth in the darkness; and the darkness apprehended it not. Little did I know, that Battleoffaith.org would be bigger than a little voice message system where one can read and learn about the things that disrupt a peaceful home. {Galations 5} I was rereading in my Bible today and saw everywhere where I have written, 'God, let me be somewhat like Jesus and be a light to those who are in darkness, in bondage, allow me to show them your light, Jesus.' September 28, 2007 was dated. November 26, 2006 was dated. October 15, 2007. July 2008. Feb 2008. These are just a handful of dates as I flip through a few pages in my Bible, right here in front of me.
I know I have a call on my life.
I am answering that call publically.
I have been in ministry for 20 years. I have surrendered as a missionary in 1986 with the Baptist Missions Board. I have Founded two ministries, SpeakUp is one of those. I have been on many Leadership councils and asked to be on the Board of Directors for Equine Therapy Center in Oklahoma; however due to the urgency of SpeakUp had to decline the position. I send out a monthly on-line prayer request for their therapy site and I am on-call for them as a prayer minister. I was Chaplain for Health Occupations of America when I attended Nursing school. Let's see, what else!! God simply knows I am open to wherever he leads.
I am praying about being Ordained, my local church does not believe in this since I am a woman. Would you pray for me also.

Cher, as you well know, in Christ Jesus there is neither Jew nor Greek, male nor female . . . God knows full well you are a woman, so if He's calling, no other approval is necessary. Ordained or not ordained, those are details. Preach the word as He leads and opens doors! A call to preach the Gospel can manifest itself itself in many forms, not all related to pastorates or even churches. But if He calls, you can be sure He will lead.
1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:

| Cheryl, I always loved the angel picture but this picture of YOU is so much better because I can see the Lord in your face. I am excited for the journey you are embarked upon. i have had meany people over the years say that i have not been called and everythoing also i am too young
man there are so meany woman in the bible who did amazing thing and if you have been called to preach i say go hard and also no affence to your church but i say get a new church 1 that will build you up 1 that will say go for it

| Cheryl, God calls who he wants, those who are willing to work where he sends them. Mat 22:14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
It is not up to man whom Gods calls. You are chosen because you are willing. You do not have to be Ordained by man, if God called you, He Ordained you. God Bless you, and We will be praying for you. |

Cheryl, No man can stop Christ from being who He is in you. It doesn't matter whether you have the approval of man nor even man's recognition. Ordination was originally just the public recognition of what God was doing in the person being ordained...the people doing the ordination were led of the Spirit to confirm what God was already doing. These days it is something completely different. In my opinion it doesn't matter whether your church ordains you or not. The only question is whether you have been called to serve Christ in that particular assembly or not. If so then it doesn't matter that, that recognition is given you by a church or denomination that doesn't believe in it. You have light in you...just let it shine; your recognition and honor will come from Him. Seeking the approval of men can be a really deep trap, be careful. Your brother in Him,

I don't think any woman who carries an anointing on her life to preach hasn't had to deal with people trying to tell her she can't.
I was once told by well meaning Christians that I couldn't have a call of God on my life because I was a woman. Sigh. Sigh. Sigh. That is bondage. God called. God will anoint you, and He will make a way for you. It's time for us woman to rise up and fulfill the call of God upon our lives.

Denomination means nothing to God so don't let that hinder you. I also know that I am called to go and preach the good news of Jesus Christ! We just must be obedient to doing the Lord's work whether we are in a pulpit or not and God will honor it. |

Dear sister Cheryl, when God calls, He then equips and opens a door for you... Wait on him and keep this call alive in your heart and spirit and watch God intervene... Do not tell him how to do it but be obedient in how he chooses to do it sister... PTL! It wonderful to rejoice with you in this... Stay in His Word and in Prayer...

| Women are just not suppose to usurp the authority of a man. Your ministry reaches all kinds, but it has a great focus on women. I see nothing sinful or contradictory in this. Your covering should be your husband or, in this case, your local church, but kinda hard if they aren't for that. Yeah, for sure I'll pray God's will in it. |

Dear Cheryl,
I am so happy to hear of your calling. In the United Methodist Church, we have many Ordained women serving in many capacities. Paul says in the Bible that in Christ there is no male nor female nor Jew, nor Greek, but all are one in Christ. Where would Jesus have been without the entourage of faithful women who worked behind the scenes to make opportunities for their Master. Man often gets so bogged down in Legalism that we tend to forget about the Grace that fulfills the Law. Stay the course Cheryl.
