Yesterday my wife Elizabeth, myself, and two of our friends went on a road trip through the Canadian rockies. We visited many beautiful spots, but one really stuck out in my mind the athabasca glacier. As I walked up the mountain to stand on the glacier I could see were the glacier had receded over the years it had carved away the the rock to create and reshape the actual mountain I was standing on. I also realized that the scenery I was looking at one point did not exsist as it did now.
The same thing can be said of us as Christians after inviting Jesus into our lives we become new creations as Paul writes,
2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
God is constantly changing us and reshaping us through the example of Jesus, He carves away all of the evils of this world and after the glacier of Christ recedes all that is left is a vessel of love, acceptance, and joy.
