| CNN Employment Update: Economy |

Squish, squish, the sand is cold and wet as it clumps through her little 3 year old toes. Safely sitting far enough away from the spinning toy, she plays in the sand the city workers poured around the metal enjoyment ride for safety reasons. Her clear green eyes are fixed on her parents who walk through the freshly cut green grass as they are hand-in-hand.
When times are hard and life is not going as planned, Domestic Violence rises. Parental abuse has the potential to climb during the next years as the economy continues to decline. The adversity faced many couples will split their families.
Today alone, CNN News reported 71,000 job losses. http://money.cnn.com/2009/01/26/news/economy/job_cuts/index.htm
It is called Bloody Monday, they reported it is the greatest loss since the 1930's. This is a great and historic tragedy...and unfornately to add to this tragedy is the loss it does on so many levels to families. One of those tragedies will be if violence sets in. Would you pray for these families?
One can simply google Domestic Violence and Unemployment and the reports are endless as to the rise and devastation. Thank you for really caring and being a voice to God as you petition for these hurt today.
Prayer: Father, we come to you and ask for you to place your mighty miracle working hand into our economy.. Give President Obama more wisdom than he already ad as he was more than prepared to lead our nation. May President Obama look up to you for answers and guide our families back into financial freedom. i pray more than anything Lord, that this crisis will bring our nation to its knees. i pray families would unite and families return to church and their first love of you Father. Pour the blood of Jesus on our President, nation, economy, and families. In Jesus name we ask these things, amen.

Yes, bad economic times. Just found out Sunday that a friend of mine, laid off Dec 12, is STILL out of work. Not good! Yes, this is an opportunity to pray! |

| Sister Cheryl, America needs a wake up call, this nation has turned it's back on God. President Obama is a type of Egypt. Israel when they fell away from God and the enemies that God sent to punish them with had Israel looking to Egypt. The conditions for God to bless America again not been met, abortion are still legal in the land of the free. Same sex marriage will probably become legal under President Obama. | I personally know what it's like to lose your job. I lost my job in Sept.2007 when our GM factory closed and to the date have not found a job yet. There have been 3 or 4 factories here in this small city of ours that closed this past year as well...even several factories have had major layoffs. I have to trust God that He is gonna bring us through this. I hear the news reports about this Recession, but I refuse to be apart of or participate in it bc my Father owns a cattle on a thousand hills, so we are covered!!! |

By the power indwelling in me by the holy spirit of God I bind this spirit of the Antichrist that is coming up against this, your people in the matchless name of Jesus of Nazerath. Satan we cast you out in Jesus name, back into the pit from where you came. We serve a God of more than enough, there is no Lack in the Kingdom. God owns the Cattle on a thosand hills, the earth and the fullness there of belongs to him. Faith is the key to come you without money buy. Your money will never be enough without using kingdom principles. Stop looking to the thngs that are seen and start seeing the unseen God you claim.

It is hard not to look at the waves , but we must keep our eyes on Christ in this. I have run up debt and have two more days of work at full pay, then six weeks at 53 percent pay while on disability and then IF they have work at the other office I get to return. My sister has been told April 15th is her last day. She has had 2 jobs her whole life and was laid off the first one too. My coworker said her husband faces lay off now and he has never worked anywhere else and he has a heart condition and is in his forties. In all the doubts and fears, Cherly points out abuse but also depression arises with fears. My son and husband committed suicide in 2000 and 2001. Take depression and fear seriously and as Belinda speaks of seeing the unseen God, and Faith is key. Do not dismiss what our friends speak of, but lift them lovingly and guide them to faith. Where they can't see it, lift thier arms and pray with them till they do. Part of my debt has been that I have taken out cash advances and gave it to those in need. I don't buy new clothes, get them from freecycle or thrift stores. I have paid car payments for those about to lose thier cars and paid attorney fees to get someone help in jail. I now know God is showing me some error in how I dealt with these things...I relied on plastic instead of Him. I will get out of my debt but I will not miss opportunity to find ways to help folks. Freecycle is a way to recycle...it is not for the impoverished...it is going green and keeping stuff out of landfills. It is a way to give an old car or tires or a blender you don't want or blankets and heaters or whatever is blocking a free path through your garage. It is a way to minister...give and add a tract. I have had huge opportunity to witness and made strong Christian friends too. |

| Hi Chezza. There's a lot of news coverage about the economy, but very little (even non) about the trouble it causes like you have mentioned. When things like this happen, it causes untold damage - not only in the economy, but in marriages. Its because of all the pressure that's been put on people (some of their own making, some not), but we need to focus on the damage it causes, because that is the untold story that doen't get mentioned in the news media. We need to WAKE UP to those untold stories that don't hit the news headlines. |

Cella, amen lady!!
My Bible study this morning was on the fellowship we have with God, may we fellowship with Him during this time. May we seek to find what He wants in our lives. May we strive only for the Kingdom of God first, then all these other things will be added unto us as God sees fit. God may be preparing you for your heart's desire, but first the big house, mortgage payment etc has to be removed. The Other Idols must be removed. Just follow God, I know from personal experience He WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN OR LET YOU GO! |

God is our provider. It is only when there is no reasonable alternative to faith that, that information becomes something we come to believe in our heart. His provision is not dependent upon our circumstances but it is dependent upon our trust. Our faith grows strong though apparent contradition (e.g. Abraham contemplated the deadness of his own body and the deadness of Sarah's womb, but did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith).
