Thank goodness! Bo, I always thought that was a mole or something. I always wondered why you loved to wear flip flops with a growth like that, I just figured you was confident in yourself.

Thanks for sheddin some light on it for me.

MulletPreacher, I too have a tattoo gotten during my "party days".  That's not the only scar I've ever gotten from the world, but that's another blog! (ha,ha)

I'm thinking there is scripture against it...
6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

This verse would indicate that you must glorify God with your body and getting a tattoo might not glorify God.  But, I'm thinking there is another scripture which is more explicit.  Anyone else have more scripture on this??

Well, you sure did make me laugh dude!  I never heard those scriptures referred to in that way, but that is really funny!

I don't think they were referring to tatoos :) lol

A lot of the Word is figurative, so I don't think these words should be taken literally.

If you were single, I would say get the tatoos if you want them.  I don't think a tatoo is a sin.  But I do think that you should not only consider, but respect your wife's opinion.

You might also consider how tattoos will look on you when you're 90 years old and the nurse is helping you get dressed at the assisted living center...  :-)

When I read the scripture noted in the above comment I immediately think of plastic surgery over tattoos. After reading that I am a little disappointed that an "enhancement" may be out of the question for me in the future.

WHAT ABOUT LEVITICUS 19:28?

Leviticus 19:28 is the Christian (or so-called Christian?) tattooist and tattoo-bearer's worst nightmare. The Lord plainly, clearly, strongly, and without a doubt – condemns the tattoo.

Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.
Leviticus 19:28

Could that be any more clear?

"Ye shall not. . .print any marks upon you. . ."

Simple. . . Straightforward. . .Settled. . .

God Said It. . . I Believe It. . . That Settles It. . .

Right. . .?

I was waitin for somebody to find that verse. That's the one my wife chose too. Bottom line is I couldn't get another one even if the Bible said it would bring blessins on my head because my wife won't let me. My wife is so precious thank God for her. God bless.

Dear MulletPreacher:

I found the above information regarding tattoos on this website and thought it was quite interesting if you care to take a look.  Hope this helps in your decision.  Love in Jesus, ~Linda  <><
