Who is this man? What is His name?
Yes, He is the most amazing man whom ever walked on the face of this earth. Even the heading for this introduction may teeter on the verge of despair for those who have been injured, I understand that, more importantly, God understands that deeper than you could ever realize.
Please read:
1:1 That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we beheld, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of life
1:2 (and the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare unto you the life, the eternal `life', which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us);
1:3 that which we have seen and heard declare we unto you also, that ye also may have fellowship with us: yea, and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ:
1:4 and these things we write, that our joy may be made full.
This man I want to introduce to you will fulfill all of your heart's desires that are in His Father's will or way {path} for your life. This man, I know from personal experience, CAN be trusted. Moving forward down simply to this next sentence is overwhelming for some of you, do not despair; come back and reread the entirety of this when you can...or continue, God is right beside you, He really is..
Creeping into this unwanted adventure, to trust one man may simply be out of your realm of comprehension. From the verses above, we know this man existed before time began...Jesus is His name. He is the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow. He is the only man that will not change nor hurt you only due to Him being part man and part deity; for a real person may hurt you even when they do not notice...and not even for them to really want to hurt you, we are just all different and we see life different; however an abusive man is different and is not from God. The gift of marriage is a blessing from God and yes it is 'work' to be honest, but the blessings are fruitful. An abusive relationship is the opposite of God's plan for your life. An abusive relationship may however have some of the same traits as a good marriage, but the fruit is where God sees the truth...and where you should see the truth also.
What is fruit? How can you tell?
Some abusers cleverly disguise their will and way into a fashion that others may not see to the 'naked' eye. When you look into a relationship after knowing abuse, you can see the trickery. An abuser may be only nice while out in public. An abuser may be mean while out in public ...just to let you know in an unspoken way, that you have no place to be safe...no one will really help you. An abuser will keep your mind in a whirl wind. When peace does come to your mind, you will notice it is short lived. Even if the abuse is only every 6 months...isn't it still abuse.
5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
5:17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are contrary the one to the other; that ye may not do the things that ye would.
5:18 But if ye are led by the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are `these': fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
5:20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties,
5:21envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
5:22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
5:23 meekness, self-control; against such there is no law.
5:24 And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof.
5:25 If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk.
5:26 Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
Believing in Jesus also is the offering or gift of the church term 'Salvation" or "Eternal Life" It means when you ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and to come into your heart...Jesus does in a spiritual form...Jesus saves you from the sins you have committed. Jesus died on the cross for you 2000 years ago and His gift is still open for you to receive...all you have to do is to pray, or just voice a line to God of asking God to forgive you of your sins and that you want Jesus to come into your life and to save you from the wrong things you have done. Jesus took our sins, past-present-and-future onto His manly shoulders, so that we could be forgiven. It says in His word {Bible} that no one is righteous, no not one.... We all need Jesus.
I am studying through the book in the Bible of 1 John. Would you come back and read it with me, we can walk through this together. you are never alone with God and God provides through His family of believers and now, you are not alone in this walk with Him. It may be a few days before I can post another Bible study, but I will.
Finally, let's read how God sees life...through light or darkness. And, may we walk in light. If needed before the next post, reread this Bible Study, or go ahead and read through 1 John...no biggie, God is not controlling and neither is this time with God, you lead in what you want to do. Following God will never lead you in the wrong path. Much love.
5:1 Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
5:2 and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.
5:3But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as becometh saints;
5:4 nor filthiness, nor foolish talking, or jesting, which are not befitting: but rather giving of thanks.
5:5 For this ye know of a surety, that no fornicator, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.
5:6Let no man deceive you with empty words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.
5:7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them;
5:8 For ye were once darkness, but are now light in the Lord: walk as children of light
5:9 (for the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth),
5:10 proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;
5:11 and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;
5:12 for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of.
5:13 But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light: for everything that is made manifest is light.
5:14Wherefore `he' saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.
5:15 Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise;
5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
5:17 Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
5:18 And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;
5:19 speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;
5:20 giving thanks always for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;
