Simple joys are always little things for me: looking up at the stars in the sky, laying in the grass and staring at the clouds, looking at old pics, singing while I drive, appreciating a sunset; simple things worth trying. However most people are so busy; they just forget to look around and be glad for every little thing.
By the way, do you take time to appreciate the simple joys in life?

It's not an easy lesson, I know but we have to try it. We can't miss out on the joy of little things. There are problably more of them available to us than we realize. We just need to cultivate the habit of looking for them...so we'lI find out that the only way to fully appreciate something so beautiful is to humbly come to the realization what our lives would be like without it.

God bless your life...and enjoy it to the fullest:)

a cool summer breeze, a rainbow, an unsolicited hug from a child, dogwoods in the Springtime, millions of light fluffy snowflakes, the sound of waves crashing on the beach, a clear starry night, a freshly picked peach, the glimse of a fawn in the fog at daybreak, a sincere unexpected word of encouragement, a cup of tea with good friends . . .

Where does a NYC girl go for grass and stars and clouds and sunsets?

A starry night, walking with a friend, enjoying her enjoying the flowers we planted together, fireflies so thick they look like Cristmas lights on all the trees.
Yeah, like Kathy said, how do you do those things in NYC? Inquiring minds (or nosey ones) want to know!

Wow..sure I have the answer to your questions dear friends: Central Park and Bryant Park. However I have to confess it's kinda difficult to see stars at night (because I only go to the Parks in the mornings and afternoos...lol) but I really try:) Sometimes I can see a star and another one...but it is not the same like when I was in Brazil...by the way I have no idea where is the Great Bear...in Brazil we have the Southern Cross and I really know how it is:)
