Amen Cinder's.  People seem to suck up the good scripture bits, but avoid discipline scripture bits like the plague. Why?  Because we're grown-up, therefore hate to be disciplined.  Like I wrote in Mikes blog (just like in life) its messages coupled with scripture or whatever in balance.

You betcha baby!
It's a life long process.
I do believe there would be more mountain moving if we weren't so hard headed.
This is why we need to become childlike in our faith.
Using our kids as an example.... as they get older and have more opinions of their own-  this is where it becomes more difficult for them to listen.
If we can learn to set aside our opinions.....

Ummmmmm, the answer to that question is yes, but seldom does it happen.  In my case, there's always a spanner being thrown in the works that is less than pleasing shall we say. :-)

How could He be our loving Father if He did not discipline us????  He knows how arrogant, stubborn, self-centered His children are and His correction is always meted out of love.  With no correction or discipline there is no respect and trust.  I trust my Father and love and respect Him because He knows ME... He knows what it takes to set me back on the right path....  I am fallible and I need to be reminded now and again what my purpose is here on earth.  Love my fellow man as much as my Father loves me and to obey His Word.

Thanks sis

Have you ever heard the song Abba Father...can't recall who sings it at the moment, but it goes...Abba Father, My Defender, You are Holy...and I surrender...For in my weakness, You protect me...And when my heart strays, You correct me...Abba Father

Very AWESOME song...the day I quit feeling God's Conviction is the I know I am in hell...a place I don't plan on visiting! I thank God for His Discipline...Love you Lou!!

Discipline is love.  When people are picking and choosing versus from the Bible to suit them instead of in it's entirety then they are showing pride and wanting to go their own way.
Awesome blog CindyLou!
