There is a song by Casting Crowns called "Between the Alter and the Door". This is a place where you think "I can't do this anymore". Where Satan is constantly whispering in your ear that following Jesus is too hard. He tells you that YOU will never measure up so why keep trying. A time when temptation is so strong that you want to give in to it. How many people have been there? I've been there TOO many times holding on to Jesus by a thread. But then something happens. The thoughts disappear, my heart is renewed and my faith in the Lord grows stronger.
Why? We are His and He does not let us go. He knows we are weak and gives us the strength to be in Him.
4:13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his own Spirit.
We all have times that we are weak but thank God in our weakness He does make us strong. We have to go through the test of faith and pass before we can move on to something else the Lord will have us to do. He says be faithful in the little things and I will give you greater things to do.
Jan, faith and obedience in whatever He calls you to do. Even when it may not make sense to the world. But then again, we don't make sense to the world anyway. :-)
