February, It's the Love Month and to me it starts from the first to the twenty-eight. As I sit here and think about Love, my favorite scripture come to mind.
3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Of all the Valentine cards from the past none offered me this kind of love. The Love God had for me that he sacrificed His only Son to die for my sins, That's Love.
When I think about February being the Love month I also thing about how Great God thought Love was that He gave us this scripture.
13:13But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
If God thought the Greatest ever was Love, Why can't I. Is it because of the past hurts caused by man, family or friends. Could it be that I can never feel real Love until I developed an intimate relationship with God.
There's an old school song that ask "What's Love Got To Do With It" Well, everything. God gave it to us in the Ten Commands, more than once. Love your Mom & Dad, Love your neighbor, Love the Lord you God. He commanded us to Love.
4:7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is begotten of God, and knoweth God.
4:8He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
WOW, here's a scripture telling us "God Is Love". I spent years trying to find the true meaning of Love and here it is. Right before my eyes. Jesus Loves Me This I Know, Cause The Bible Tells me So. The Bible tells me God is Love. In the King James version the word Love appears 131 times in the Old Testament and 179 times in the New Testament that's 310 time all together. I think God mentioned it so many times so I could "Get It". God I got it.
