| PRAYER FOR TROUBLED TIMES |

Many of you do not know that I am a News Junkie... I look at the news first thing in the morning, at 6-8 in the evening and the last thing I hear when I go to bed. It is an addiction just like my books. I probably could open up a used book store( I know my husband would appreciate that).
Lately with the economy being as bad as it is there have been numerous incidents where entire families have been wiped out by suicide, people are being found dead in their homes from freezing to death or in cars, elevators, etc because of lack of heat and/or homes. My heart is hurting for my brothers and sisters who have lost all hope and just given up. WHY???? Why have they just given into not knowing who really knows what they are going through and will lead them out of this valley of depression if they would only hold on, believe, pray to our Father...
God has been so good to me and my family when things have been in limbo for so long. I have never doubted that He would walk with us in this time of trouble and I will never ever doubt that His word is not true.
He died on that cross knowing that this day would come. He died on that cross knowing that so many would just give up on His gift of life and love to us all. He died knowing that all would not look to Him for their salvation. What really hurts is that they are giving up and taking their children with them. They are not giving them a chance to know of our Father who loves us all.
MyChurch: Please pray for our country and our people who have come to the end of their ropes and do not know where to turn. Please pray that this new administration will really hear the cries of those in this country who are just trying to earn an honest living and just want to be given a chance to live and raise their little ones in a country that does not see color, race, ethnicity as a reason to be excluded from what this country was founded upon. Please extend a hand to anyone who is in need right now and you have it in your power to provide shelter, food, clothes, whatever to help them along the way. Please extend words of kindness and encouragement and let them know that if they will just hold on a little bit longer they will see the reward of believing that the One who died for us stands true to His word.
Father, my heart is so heavy right now. I am appalled at the lengths that some will go to when times are tough instead of turning to the One True God who has been with us from the beginning of time and will be with us until the end times. I am hurt that their faith is so miniscule that your Words of wisdom cannot ring true in their ears. Father I am asking that you extend your hand and bless all who are suffering right now from the greed and ignorance of those in power who only care for themselves and not others. You have promised to take care of your sheep and I am a witness to that fact, however there are those whose faith falters under the deception of the devil and are drawn into believing that all is lost... I am crying out to you right now in the name of Jesus to help them see that all is not lost, that a brighter day is around the corner and that there are those who are here willing to reach out and help and touch them in your name , for your glory....
My heart hurts but my faith remains in the One who has never gone back on any promises made.... Glory, Honor and praises to your Holy Name.... There is a brighter day coming and I can't wait to see your face, dance in your kingdom and proclaim your name, face to face-soon. |

| Mary, it's getting worse everyday......You and I have felt the crunch, we understand.....but thank God He stands with us and carries us through. And I thank you for all the prayers you've lifted up for Ken and me. You are truly a friend and a blessing sis! BTW, You and Ken need to meet.....he's a book aholic......reads three books at a time! Love you lady and you and your family remain in my prayers as well as our country. |

I'm a news junkie, too. We do need to be informed but it can be depressing, too. I do hope you feel better, too. I'm in agreement with you in prayer. |

I am with you, and I am praying for this whole world, the news reports, show us,
just how bad life has got, I have had to cut back on the news, it was becoming
too depressing, for me..because I know what all this means, and I am sad, not
because my Lord is coming, but because so many I know, aren't ready..You
and your family are in my prayers as well, I love you, God Bless..Your heart,
is as big, as all out doors. |
