What an awesome display of love!  Recently, Bethany and I were in our laundry room washing clothes.  We heard what we thought was my daughter Katie singing loud and badly and decided to go upstairs and make fun of her.  As we left the laundry room we realized what we heard was not Katie but my husband's dog Judah, who was in the back yard.  The loud and bad singing was actually Judah crying out in pain.  I tore into the backyard  to find Judah grossly entangled in his chain.  Every attempt I made to free him resulted in him snapping, scratching and biting at me.  The more he fought my attempts to free him the more entangled he became.  I prayed for God to help me, I called out to Bethany to call animal control.  Just then a welcomed sight, my husband Sequoia was opening the back gate.  I didn't have to say a word.  He sprinted over and began to work Judah free.  Not Judah's scratching him or snapping at him nor his crying out could stop Sequoia from removing that chain.   Just as quickly as he was free Judah began to lick Sequoia's hand and rub his head against his leg.  It was if the last 7 minuets never happened.  Sequoia gave his head a reassuring pat and walked toward me.  I could see the scratches on his arms and hands, [which he never even mentioned].  Of course, I stood there crying. [I'm mushy but not moussy] You see as much as I love our dog Judah, fear of his bite kept me from getting close enough to help. The Father loves us so much that nothing can keep HIM from us. Even when our trouble is our own doing.  In spite of our whining, complaining, kicking, screaming, resisting and shall I go on ...He never stops doing whatever is necessary and good for us, even when it doesn't feel good to us.  He works all things together for our good.  When I think of all the times He has looked past my fault, saw my need and met it, I am humbled and grateful...just like Judah.
