Lately I have laid my armor aside. Who would of thought that one little hurt could grow out of control to make you lay your armor down? It can happen.

Hi Bren.  First of all, good words.  The key words in everything is "putting it on", futhermore we have to keep it on.  Crystal. I know that feeling well.  In short, fed up with fighting.  In short again.  When you lay it down because of being fed up with fighting all the time, whether it be you, me or anyone else - we lay ourselves wide open to attack.  The Amor of God is not put on for a fashion statement, its there for a protection statement - because it will take all that amor to protect us - when everything around us is going belly up.

Crystal – thank you for sharing. Yes, I know it can happen.  Even when we know our armor is missing, for me anyway, it hasn’t been real clear on how to put it on and keep it. I have been studying for a long time trying to put this together in a way that made sense to me.

Steve – Thank you. I think many of us struggle with the same predicament. Yes, we need the armor on when everything around us is belly up. Good comment.

Margie – Thank you. The Word of God is powerful! I believe you need to use scripture to understand scripture. So, I went searching to try and help me to understand. I thought it might be of benefit to someone else as well. Thank you for leaving the star!

Hi Bren~
I know The Holy Spirit has given me the comment I hoped for regarding what You have shared here. Hebrews 4:9-12
9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.

11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

12For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Bren, because of taking on the Full Armor, and this is of Faith, then we are able to Rest in Christ Jesus, knowing we are Fully Equiped.  Very Important:  ROMANS 13:12...GOD IS LIGHT...PUTTING ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, BEING IN CHRIST JESUS, MEANS TO PUT ON A SUPREMELY VITAL PIECE OF ARMOR WHICH IS THE ' ARMOR OF LIGHT'. Thank You Bren, You certainly did generate an abundance of thought/meditation by this article.......In Christ,  Ken  ORR

Ken – Thank you for you thought provoking comment. Yes, Jesus is the armor of Light.

“8Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. 9The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet," and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 10Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

11And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”
Romans 13:8-14
