| A Lemonade Miracle! |
|
| |
Last night I took it upon myself to begin to prepare the break room for the Vacation Bible School teachers. I grabbed a couple of pitchers and looked for some yummy lemonade with which to bless our parched workers. But, alas, all of the lemonade powder had been used to make drinks for the dinner. One of the ladies in the kitchen checked out the cooler thingy (you know, those orange things with the button-spigot on the bottom) and told me there was maybe enough to fill one pitcher. Bummer.
I went out to the cooler thingy, put my hand on top of it and said, "Loaves and Fishes, Lord!" I really did. I have witnesses! Are you ready? Not 1, not 2, not 3...not even 4. We were able to get 5 pitchers of yummy lemonade out of what appeared would only fill 1!
Every last drop of that lemonade was consumed by the end of the evening. God gave us exactly what we needed: no more, no less!
If you tell me God doesn't care about the small stuff, I will never believe you. Never!
4:6 Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

| Hey not to burst your bubble...I didn't get any lemonade. Only water by the time I got there. Is there a lesson for me there? Hmmm |

Slush, you snooze, you lose, babe! Can I bring you a soda or something tonight instead? I want all our teachers to know they are appreciated. Plus, I dig you, you know!
Carebear, if you didn't call me Sooz, I wouldn't think you cared! ;-) |

Besides, Slush, you did receive refreshment. And you are a very low maintenance kind o' gal. God knew what you needed. Kwitchurbellyachin'!
"...will that be a Diet Coke?", she asked, humbly. |

| I appreciated the lemonade! I had a break early in the evening not long after things started. Had I known not everyone had some, I would have gladly forfeited my glass. In fact tonight, I will not indulge and allow others to have my portion!!! Those teachers and workers work so hard!! |

| "God is God all the time." Another very good reason that God is God and I am not. I'd want a break occasionally! That and I'd be a little too quick on the draw when someone disobeyed me! |
