That was great Cheryl!
Thanks for sharing Your right about the Valentines Day stuff.
I am in full agreement with the singleness part too.

I had my lights shut off out of nowhere I never even got a notice that I thought.
I kept putting off and putting off going to the Light company to pay my bill not because I didnt have the money.
We can get so wrapped up in business or the worries of the world and not look up to see where we have wondered off into untill we find ourselves in darkness. Then we appreciate the light more. I had to wait in the darkness for over 5 hours for the company to make it back out. As soon as I got home and instinctly flipped the switch and nothing happened I paniced and ran to pay my bill. Then waited in the darkness. Its hard to find candles in the dark with just the light of my cell phone. The point I mean to make is that we can so take for granted the light that we are lavished in and can walk around assuming that everyone else lives in that same light. I am reminded of what Jesus says :
45"He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me.

46")I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.

47"If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. John 12:45-47 (New American Standard Bible)
In by helping the cause you help yourself. Seeking first the kingdome we become complete in all ways. The more light (Jesus) you allow into and through your life the less your worries, fears, anxieties loneliness become......

Thank you Miss Cheryl, this was powerful and I really loved this.   Thank you for posting this because sometimes I feel I don't give Jesus his due because He will never leave us, fail us, abuse us, or tell us He does not love us anymore.  Jesus is amazing.  Thank you again.

I Just want ot say that recently I just had an horrable break up, I htough everything was gong good until one morning he decides to tell me (HE DOESNT LOVE ME ANYMORE). My heart dropped and i cryed all my tears away. As of today I still cry but its for thanks that God got me out when I was still strong. After that my whole life collapsed and i know why,Its because when in my relationship I forgot about God,A wrong thing to do... So i had to repay and I had to repay in a very painful way and I will remembe rthis forever.I now know that when I am stronget than ever God will bring someone in my life and I will Know to not forget about the one who loves me the most GOD...When reading this it brought tears to my eyes because even though i wasnt physicaly abuse i was abuse by words.well I wishthe best of luck to everyone out there and and to all the women who are struggling today as we speak, and dont forget that god sees youa nd he hasnt forgotten about you at all. WHen you cry he cryes.. Be strong and we shall all get threw this together

Thank you....this was great...
i am young..(16 lol)...and obviously do not have an earthly husband at this time...(haha cuz that would just be weird heh)
But...despite my young age, to say i have not had my share of pain would be a lie..
to say i havent dealt with the insecurites of doubtful love would be ridiculous..
And to say i havent felt Gods healing powers in my life...would be living in complete denial.
I chose not to date...that decsion was recommended first off by my dad...which later as i started to get somewhat older, I saw the wisdom in saving your heart until God shows whom it belongs to...but even though God has spared me some pain by keeping me from the cycle of dating at an early age.
Satan still likes to use even such good decisions to trip us up...so maybe i dont have to deal with a cycle of heartbreak caused by immature children dating...but i still have to fight doubts and insecurites that like to weigh me down.
God still has to help me through my moments of impatience and confusion...
Either way....
This short time of me being a child...helps remind me of how we are all supposed to relate to our Father...to reach for Him with the beauty of a child-like faith.
i love Jesus...but I want to FALL-in-love with Him...
And i have heard some say...let Him be who you fall in love with ...until God brings you your earthly husband...
But I want Him to be my First Love..cuz without Him being our ultimate priority..how could we then truly love someone else...hmmm...i am rambling lol..im sorry haha

I am actually in a relationship, but I believe that becoming closer to God would make things so much easier. I was hurt in previous relationships and with a father who chose drugs over family, so I'm not completely fair with my current boyfriend, but I believe becmoing closer to God will make my life so much better :) It's something I've been wanting to do for a long time.!! :) Thank you for this Cheryl! I appreciate you informing me about this!

Hello Cheryl, very good teaching. I am married but my husband is not saved.
He and I are clearly unequally yoked. When we got married, 13 going on 14 years ago.
I was also living a life separate from God. God drew me out of darkness and into His marvellous light!!
Even though I have a earthy husband it has been very difficult at times and still is. I am brought to crying,
when I think of how much love our Lord has given me for 12 going on 13 years now.
I am forever grateful. There is no greater Love, Than His!! I will benefit from this study.
How can anyone go wrong with Gods word hidden in their heart and devotions to keep us encouraged.
Thank you Cheryl, and for all of you, who are single for what ever reason. I will pray that you continue to look to
Jesus for your comfort. He will be all that you need Him to be.

Gods Peace be with you.

Cece, I understand what you are saying, my husband professed to be a Christian; however his living was clearly a non-believer, and even included Spiritual manipulation.  Stand strong and let your witness be your light

Just like a lighthouse; that's how Jesus shows us the way, His way that is the truth.  I wonder how I can be a lighthouse for someone else in faith?

Thanks for posting this study!

Sis Cece - I know what being unequally yoked is like. I was being abused for going to church and serving God. It's very hard to  be a submissive wife to someone who doesnt submit to God. I pray that the love that you receive from the Father be very much lavished on your husband, that you seek first the kingdom and all things will be added to you. I pray that you love the old man to death so that God can resurrect a new one in your husband. In Jesus name. Even after I separated from my husband I could see God's hand moving in his heart. I know that I know that my husband had been set apart for special attention (sancified) by me being a believer and married to him. God has surly heard your  cries and is working on your behalf I can feel it in my Spirit. Be of good cheer sister God is on your side!

I can relate to Sister Cece - my husband is not saved either.  But you know what, when you know where your true love is and know that He will work on that unsaved person right along with you, it makes it a whole lot easier to deal with.  Over the years I have seen my husband change in so many ways and I know it is Father who is whispering to him (Praise Him).

In times when no one hears you or even cares, my Father is there.  When you have no other place to go  or anyone to talk to, my Father is there.  There is no greater LOVE than His and He doesn't put conditions on it.  He just ask you to belive and obey....  Glory, Glory to His precious name.  Where would I be without Him???

Thanks Cheryl....

Amen ladies!  Stand strong in your marriage, God is right there and your gentle spirit will be a witness to your spouse.  If you are in an abusive situation i highly recommend getting to a safe place and to separate for a SHORT time from your spouse, enter counseling also, even if he/she will not attend.

Terry, you are right, that is the desire in your heart lady...God fulfills the desires in our heart.  Also, we must know and have a deep relationship with God; He is the true source for love and to meet our needs and then God provides whom He wants in our lives when we ask Him and wait for Him to answer it.

Just today, I meet a man who is single, I usually don't look at anyone with a judgement of pretty or nice looking, but he was crazy cute!!  I started to pray, I want to see if this is from God for sure or whats up.  Well see~  The desire in my heart is to be remarried, but the right guy, a true God guy has to come along, and it MUST ONLY be from God!

Love ya lady!~

Honestly, it's easier by FAR serving the Lord, being single. Though we know God brought us together, both my husband and I have admitted, if we would do it again, knowing what we know now, we'd have remained single.  No kidding!  I know that the world pushes for everyone to "get it on" and get dating and all that trash, but like don't fill your head with all those movies and stuff that make things unrealistic; fill it, like Cheryl is saying here, basically with the best spouse ever: God, and His love for you, which is flawless.  I know and believe it is a gift (especially for men) to remain single, but if you can, it's just like really awesome for your walk with God! Not that you can't serve Him with a spouse, but get ready for 'trouble in the flesh' just as the Apostle Paul said.

So from this married lady I just wanna say to all you lovely single ladies, enjoy your one on one time with the Lord, and know also that not all of us married ladies are doing anything exciting on Valentine's day. We don't really even celebrate it.  lol  And if you are super duper duper duper wanting a man, keep asking, and wait for a good one from the Lord. It ain't worth it to go ahead of Him.  Love ya'll!

See how good our God is!!  I return to these blogs to see the responses left by the
writer and of course from others.
Thank you Cheryl, I just keep on being who the Lord wants me to be. At times my light dims
but It is only for a moment.
mstovall2003, It is so true. God has me right where He wants me. My husband is slowly.... changing and I know he is set apart because of me. Praise the Lord for the changes in your Husband!!
Amy Valley Girl, Thank you for the prayer. I will confess, it is very hard to show him Love as a wife should.
He loves me and does not abuse me in any way for my beliefs. It's just his ways... of the world.  I am professing his deliverance and his oobediance to God, calling those things that are not as if they are!!
Bless you all, wow Cheryl we've just begun this study and see how helpful it is!!

"[14] You are the Light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
[15] Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all.
[16] In the same way, let your light SHINE before Others, so that they may see your good works and give Glory to your Father who is in Heaven."

SOMEBODY'S RAISING THEIR KID RIGHT!

One Nation, "Under God".

One day a 6 year old girl was sitting in a classroom. The
teacher was
going to explain evolution to the children.

The teacher asked a little boy: Tommy do you see the tree outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

TEACHER: Tommy, do you see the grass outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

TEACHER: Go outside and look up and see if you can see the sky.

TOMMY: Okay. (He returned a few minutes later) Yes, I saw the s ky.

TEACHER: Did you see God up there?

TOMMY: No.

TEACHER: That's my point. We can't see God because he isn't there.
Possibly he just doesn't exist.

A little girl spoke up and wanted to ask the boy some questions.

The teacher agreed and the little girl asked the boy: Tommy, do
you see
the tree outside?

TOMMY: Yes.

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy do you see the grass outside?

TOMMY: Yessssss!

LITTLE GIRL: Did you see the sky?

TOMMY: Yessssss!

LITTLE GIRL: Tommy, do you see the teacher?

TOMMY: Yes

&nbs p;
LITTLE GIRL: Do you see her brain?

TOMMY: No

LITTLE GIRL: Then according to what we were taught today in
school, she
possibly may not even have one!

(You Go Girl!)

FOR WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT"

II CORINTHIANS 5:7

Don't forget to pass this on! I love this one. Everyone should
send this
to everyone they know, especially today with prayer restricted in
schools. Forward if you believe in GOD!!!!

What jumps out at me these days is the phrase: "if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another."

I do believe that this has much to do with Romans 11:33-12:2.  We must truly be his disciple which means that we have given up all that we possess including our own life, and we must offer our bodies to God as a living sacrifice which is our spiritual worship.  We then renew our minds and are transformed.

Until we are walking in that process we tend to "hide" in the darkness.  We will not be transparent and acknowledge our faults to one another.  I believe the proof positive for this is just to look at where we go to church.  Is there genuine fellowship or not?  If not, then why not?

When we're secretly struggling with issues and don't come into the light then we cannot possibly have fellowship with one another.  If we come into the light and folks then beat us down then there will be the temptation to hide again.  Stumbling blocks come, we just have to make a choice not to take offense and to remain in the light.  Being transparent is more about seeing others delivered, and others comforted, than it's about us getting a good buzz off a great conversation.  :-)

If we walk in the light... It is always a choice.

Blessings!
