Living a Christian life, with a nonbeliever. The people in our lives, often times tilt the scale. You ever been around people, who make life a living hell? Let's talk about the real struggles of life. The people in which we live with, that don't serve Christ.
They are the hardest ones, to minister to. It's like living with someone, that speaks a different language than you. Actually, I guess they do. Talk about a situation, at it's worst. Trying to explain to them, that Christ is suppose to be first.
And that nothing in life, is more important than God. It's as if they can't understand. They wouldn't even be, if it wasn't for the Lord. I know, I plant, Apostles water, but God give the increase. But when dealing with a nonbeliever, it is like pulling teeth.
And even worst when you live with them , because there's no peace. Happy on one hand, and on the other, your heart is filled with grief. I guess all we can do, is just hope and pray. And if God is willing, they will get it one day. And stop being a servant to sin. But until that day, it's another night in the lions den.
Romans 5:3-6 5:3 And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 5:4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
Dedicated to all the Christians.. who has dealt with this situation....which is most of us. "To God be the Glory"

| Interesting you post this now. I actually thought of that on the way home yesterday, how it would be if my husband was an unbeliever; what that would be like. I know what some really godly women go through, that have unsaved husbands. But they are def "chaste" in behavior, and I am believing for the salvation of their spouses. I am graterful, though it's still no picnic at times, that my husband is born again. I wouldn't have touched him with a 10 foot pole if he hadn't been! |

Awesome, and if I may to add only if the relationship is non-abusive in nature...it is still not recommended to be unequally yoked; however some times it happens, maybe one person found the Lord and is waiting while the other does...still only if no abuse.
Man, this would rock on the SpeakUp site!! Thanks~~ |

| I have dealt with this in an earlier marriage - looking back it was never meant to be. You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink - Amen? |

| Went through this Joe with my first marriage. Anytime I talked about church he thought I was preaching and wouldn't listen. So all I did was pray for him and be the example of Christ before Him. Only the Lord can save him and I pray he will get his heart right before it's too late. |

Man that would be a real struggle...so glad I don't have to deal with that. But I still do, whenever I run across a believer who is in such a relationship. You know, no man is an island, and when we choose to yoke ourselves with unbelievers, then get hurt by it, we ourselves aren't the only ones hurt by this. People who care about us are too! We must not selfishly enter relationships....well, it is a possibility, isn't it? Joe, I'm lovin these posts of yours. Glory to God, man, glory to God! |

Oh how true this is. I live with an unbeliver and it has been tough. I am not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've done all the talking I need to do. The seeds have been planted. When I pray and the tears come, they are watering the garden. I have been planted and my roots are growing, so some day soon, His will too!! Thank you and Gods Peace. |

5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?
5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.
6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Be blessed brother. I love you my brother in Christ. |

| I once asked a man I was dating who fell in the non-believer category: "If you yoke a horse and a cow together will they pull a straight line?" He said: "No. The horse is stronger, and it wouldn't be able to carry the yoke alone." I said: "Well, I am the horse and you are the cow. I am pulling for a relationship with Jesus Christ, what are you pulling for?" He just looked at me, silent. I said: "Based on that lack of response, I can't see you anymore. I need to be with someone who wants to seek Jesus Christ with me." I have dated liars who said "yes, I love the Lord" But showed me otherwise. It wasn't until I gave it all to God and finally allowed Him to lead me that I was able to meet a man who really loves Jesus Christ. We both agree, if either of us weren't saved, we would never have given each other a second thought. I know how you feel. |
