| Red Sox Day, Red Sox Day |

1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 1:2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. 1:3 And God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 1:4 And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 1:5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. I've been rather silly today, singing a little ditty around the house, "Red Sox day, Red Sox day." I feel reborn, or as my pastor K Karpen would say, born again, again. The gloom of death and near death has turned into a reaffirmation of life. No, I haven't been dipping into the sauce. I was so exhausted last night after I came home from the Board of Elections Special Elections hearings that I collapsed into bed and actually slept the night. I have to go back Friday, but a few people I knew from the old days were there and came up to say how happy they were to see me and hope I'm doing well. It seems I'm rehabilitated from the dark days of the Hevesi blacklist. No, I'm still in Politics Anonymous, the 24 step program. But I'm not a pariah anymore, people don't avoid me as if I have a communicable disease. I've gone from non-person to person. Hallelujah! |
