| The Bridge Update |

Boy! It's been crazy around here preparing for the launch of The Bridge, our new multi-site extended campus. The launch has been scheduled for February 22 with an Open House on the 21st. Our Core Group has been working hard on getting things ready and we've received some financial support from our sponsoring church and another new church called The Intersection. Renovation work has been accomplished thanks to some very dedicated workers and folks who have donated materials and money.
Additional financial assistance from our church association and state convention has been applied for and we've had several consulting meetings with experienced leaders in our Baptist denomination. Butterflies are starting to circle around us as we anticipate opening day. Will we have anyone from the community come? Will the music be appropriate? Will the message be what they need? Will we have enough refreshments? Etc., etc, etc.
Well, that's what I've been up to lately. It's also my excuse for not blogging and commenting recently on MyChurch. But what better reason? One last thing, friends: Please pray for The Bridge and it's launch so that we might provide a service and atmosphere that people will respond to. Also, pray that God sends new people who are curious and willing to give us a try. Also (last prayer request) pray that people will be responsive to the message of what Christianity should be. |
