17:3 And the Philistines stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side: and [there was] a valley between them.
We think the mountain top is the greatest place to be as a Christain but I believe the Word of God says the exact opposite.David didn't fight Goliath on the mountain top but rather in the valley.David won the victory in the valley.What a concept! Could that be the wisdom of God.
Peter is another great example he walked on water during a storm.It was during the storm that Peter learned as long as his gaze was upon the Lord Jesus he was safe even in the midst of boisterous winds.God saved Noah through the flood, Shadrach, Meshach,and Abednego were saved through the fiery furnace. God doesn't always keep us from our struggles but he does always save us through them if we cling to Him and embrace His plan.
This is clearly taught throughout the Bible.
5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
5:3 And not only [so], but we
glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
5:4 And patience, experience;(character) and experience,(character) hope:
5:5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
1:2 My brethren, count it all
joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
1:3Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
1:4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
1:6 Wherein ye
greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
1:7That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
This may sound like false doctrine but that's really only further proof of how far we have strayed from the Word of God.I believe that God as stated in Romans 5,James 1, 1 Peter 1, is wanting to build character in us through the valleys and storms in our life. Here's the key we must begin to Glory,Rejoice, and Count it as Joy basically God is crying out to us and saying Worship me because I love you and I'm going to bring you through and when this is all over you will be closer and more in love with Me. One last example though there are many more in the Bible.
5:7 Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;
5:8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
If Jesus Christ, God in the flesh had to learn obedience through the things he suffered. I'm guessing we may go through some things too AMEN. Look what Jesus did he prayed and cried out sounds like worship to me. Worship God in the midst of your storm,valley,trial,temptation, or persecution whatever it is WORSHIP God. Many times in the face of adversity we hide from God, or we may even feel guilt or shame because of the things we are facing in our life.I'm begging you to run to God worship him in Spirit and Truth he will see you through.
1:12Blessed [is] the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
There's Victory in the Valley just stand firm, and trust that what God is doing is going to work for your good.Learn to embrace the place of preparation(the process) so you can enter into the place of perfection.(maturity)
