If you don't want to give to God, don't. God doesn't have to bless you either. As a matter of fact, scripture says that you are cursed with a curse for robbing God. Enough of that though. The church is able to function through your generous giving. There are lots of things the church has yet to do and they all cost money. God said if you bless me I'll bless you. Try me and prove me and see if I will not open the windows of heaven and pore out a blessing you cannot contain. It's your choice. Blessings.

Thank you for your comment Tim, but I was not stressing giving.  Tithing and giving to the Lord's work are 2 different things.  I have given my last 5 dollars out my billfold to people out on the street.  Just gave another 50 dollars to a lady that needed help with her rent.  I respect what you believe but you seem to misunderstand what I believe.  The blessing of the Lord maketh rich and he addeth no sorrow to it.  And another thing is you are not redeemed with coruptible things like silver and gold but with the precious blood of Christ.   I choose to rightly divide the Word Of Truth but I am not going to brought under any legalistic bondage of the law.    Maybe you should consider reading the New Testament ---  I posted the scriptures in the blog.  He that soweth sparingly shall reap sparingly--He that soweth boutifully shall reap bountifully.  Tithing is not for the New Testament church my friend.  And many false prophets and preachers have made it a requirement for salvation.  I am not in this 10 percent stuff.  God owns everything and he wants 100 percent.  Have you not read 1 Corithians 16:2--that is what the Word says to me.  I choose to follow that.  I knew when I would eventually go live with this blog it was going to stir people up.  But what can I say--Am I your enemy because I tell you the truth.  Blessings.  By the way I do support the local church with my grace giving as I am under a new covenant.  Praise God!

Garry, This is a good blog.  Consider this,  If the church taught LOVE, First, they would not struggle with tithe.  In Light of Mat 22:27-40 and I Cor 13:1-3,... you would understand Love for God, and Love from God and in so, be more willing to do many things according to His word,.. because you love Him.  What do I mean?,... look at the list of teaching curriculum for this year at your church...one across town,... big name churches, etc... You see Tithing,... just as you suggest here, ... and Prayer, etc etc... but how many teachings do you see with LOVE even in the subject line.  Yet, "IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING".. What do you think?

Thank you Preston for your comment.  Yes we should always walk in Love, and that was my intention of this blog.  I want people to see what the truth of the Word Of God says--thus saith the Lord and not these doctrines of man.  I give becasue I love my Jesus but it is by grace that I do.  Yes charity is a more excellent thing.  Like you said because of your love for God you are willing to serve him out of love and not fear.  Thank You Bro,  Be Blessed

Good points Preston and Garry. Out of love we would do much more for our God and be willing to sacrifice for Him and for others.
