The Message bible reads this verse as, "God's there, listening for all who pray, for all who pray and mean it.  He does what's best for those who fear him - hears them call out, and saves them." How many times I have prayed, possibly thinking I could get something and not realizing it would cost something. My whole hearted-devotion to my Lord and Savior. How many times did I think I meant my prayers but was not willing but my heart was hiding behind a door that I would not allow to be opened.  How many times did I even not believe that God would answer or that He should answer the prayer with the solution that I had set forth.  That was the only way it was going to work, the only way that I expected it to work. (lol) Little did I know, that His answer was ALWAYS the best answer and was going to produce the best in me and for me.  Today when I pray, I mean what I pray, I more often than not, pray on target, and I give the problem as well as the solution. I am learning to leave it at the cross and not allow it to crawl off the alter. He is my life source, my all and all, my everything and I know that when He answers my cry (which He always will because the Word says he never turns a deaf ear to my cry) that it will always be the best that He answers me with.
