My son Rodney was asking me the other day about getting baptized. He ask me which comes first getting saved or getting baptized. I explained to him that he needs to get saved first and than baptized. He said "oh okay, I was just wondering." The awesome part is my son Rodney is 17 years old and God's really been working on his heart lately. Well my Pastor talked to Rodney awhile back about giving his heart to Jesus and Rodney told his honestly that he wasn't ready. Well I really feel that he's so very ready he just doesn't know how to admit that he's ready. I told my son that all he had to do was call upon the Lord but that when he called upon the Lord his heart needed to be truthful that he couldn't just say it and not mean it. Rodney is ready I can feel it in my heart and I've been praying for him asking the Lord to bring him to his knees. Our God is such an awesome God and his love is beyond awesome. I'm excited about my son being about to experience the love of his heavenly father soon because I know that when he gives his heart to the Lord it's going to be extremely powerful experience for Rodney; something he will never ever forget and that will change his world completely. 145:18 The LORD is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth. 145:19 He fulfils the desire of all who fear him, he also hears their cry, and saves them. |
