He is near to all who call upon him IN TRUTH. You hear people say i pray but God isn't anwering me. I know that if a husband is disobedient to the Lord his prayers will not be answered. Is this saying that if you don't have a right heart in your prayers God will not hear you? Fear is also a crucial element apparently. I had to learn to fear God, to understand the depth of his power. He does have the authority to determine your soul's eternal destiny. Like it or not. To understand afterward that the same power i learned to respect was at my disposal. I could call on the Lord for protection from my enemies, to rescue me from disaster, to bring restoration to broken relationships, to heal damaged emotions. I am now a family member. With responsibility comes privledge. I have power now. The power to do good. The power to save. The power to love.
