We must forgive ourselves!  God has!

I think that has been one of THE most difficult things for me on this path brother... Forgiving my self, and learning to accept that before I even thought about forgiven my self God already had! Actually... I'm STILL a little  blown away by it all.
Good post brother!

May I always remember that our identity as believers is defined not by what we have done, but by what our Lord has done…for us!

This is such a powerful statement Mike. I seem to always get hung up on the wrongs I have done against Him instead of how He has set me free from those wrongs. Thanks

Amen! Thank you, for the encouragement Mike and Laura! Not only I am forgiving others (I was going to say working on, but it is expedient that I do it now),  I am learning to accept GOD'S forgiveness of all my sins and to forgive myself also.

GOD bless!

A great and important truth is contained in this declaration, "we are God's workmanship."  In theory, all Christians believe that, in a sense, but in practice most of them deny it.  Most Christians live as though the responsibility of their own development and perfection rests entirely upon themselves: and in addition to this they often act as though the responsibility of the world's salvation also rests upon them.  I'm not speaking of the expressed belief of Christians, but of their practice.  The Bible declares-"we are God's workmanship"- and is most absolute and literal in that we do not have anything to do with our own manufacture, so to speak, except to "yield ourselves unto God." Rom. 6:13.  He is the potter.  So, I rejoice with you, Mike, in your revelation that 'it's not what we have done, but what God has done."  God is in the business of changing hearts and that, my brother, is nothing short of a miracle!  You've said a lot in this little post, thank you!

May we not forget HIS benefits for GOD'S mercy endureth forever. Psalm 103 and Psalm 118

Linda, I fear you may speak the truth - "in practice most of them deny it." I know I have. To yield and enjoy the freedom he has purchased for us....priceless!

Jade, so many struggle just as you have. Take heart, none of us is alone, and all of us have a share in Christ's victory. Thanks for the comment, sister!

Della, my biggest critic remains.....myself.

Rebel, you and I are no longer "sinners", at least that isn't our identity. We are no less than adopted children of God. (Simply provided we believe in Christ's work on our behalf!) That is our identity, purchased at Calvary. Let's accept it together!

His anger is only momentary. Boy if that's really true....

Thanks for commenting, friends!

Absolutely true Mike!  It is hardest to forgive ourselves, but with God all things are possible!
