Well, I've told you about my workplace; how I'm the only Christian there. Well, I guess I should explain about at least two of my co-workers. It seems they both grew up in churches at some point in their lives. They are ages 30 and 36 today and far removed from the church. The thing is, the church is not far removed from them. See, every now and then they begin to challenge my faith as well as my knowledge of Scripture. One grew up through high school in the Catholic church and the other began in the Catholic church, but once his parents divorced they had to leave and join an Episcopalian church. They kinda overlap. We have spoken of the ten commandments many times - mostly they tease me about breaking them. They challenge my true faith in asking pointed questions about my knowledge. They sometimes amaze me. Either way I am convicted and made even more diligent in preserving the Truth. I feel more empowered by each question, each challenge, each time they tease. It's all good-natured, but I have not yet faltered. God is awesome and never leaves my side. He has filled me with the Holy Spirit and each challenge that comes up makes me even more bold in my faith. See how God uses everyone to do His will? I chuckle to myself whenever I think about it. Way to go God!! |
