| Pastor Tim Lee: There is hope of a tree, |
|

14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. 14:8 Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; 14:9 [Yet] through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant. Job has some very interesting points to make concerning an old dead stump. For the most part, a stump will dry up and rot after the tree is cut down the root have nothing to supply food too. But Job see through the Holy Spirit there is a hope, understand this if the devil makes a stump out of your life? God has the power to make your life sprout again and the tender branch will not cease. I can't begin to tell you how many that had a rotten life, God has restored to a tender branch. Job said, though the root wax old and the stock dies in the ground. See in the natural there's no use of roots without the body of the tree to feed.Job through the Holy Spirit speaks through the scent of water, it will bud like a plant. God don't need a soaking of water to put life in it, God can put life in something with a scent. Our God don't need for the most renouned surgeon to say that someone on the verge of death will survive. God can empty a grave yard just by calling a person by name. There's hope for a tree that been cut down when God puts the life back in it. There's hope for a lost and dying soul that will allow the Spirit of God to put life back in them.
2:6 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it [is] a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry [land]; 2:7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts. 2:8 The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of hosts. 2:9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts. Haggai through the Holy Spirit speaks of God shaking the heavens and the earth. What will it take to get folks attention in these days, so that God can fill his house with glory? Good times, I mean when people have plenty of things won't bring them to God's house.Hard times, like the bondage of Egypt caused, God people to cry out for his help. Haggai speaks of God wanting to do for the latter house greater than the former house. God wants to do greater things with the church present than he's done in the former church age. Jesus said these things that I do and even greater shall you do in John's gospel. The greater things will be done by the Holy Spirit indwelling in yielded vessels.God has moved through out pouring His Holy Spirit baptism during the late 1800's to the early 1900's and even in the 1950's and 1960's God was moving in the healing ministry. The latter house has had the distinction of having a laughing revival, uncontrolable laughter with people barking like dogs and roaring like lions. ( spirit of stupid ) 2:23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first [month]. 2:24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil. 2:25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. Joel speaking of this rain as God's outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The terms of former and latter rains were well known to those that planted the gardens. Without the rain the crops would die in the fields. God would often times withheld the rains, because of the sinfulness of the children of Israel. Joel speaks of a time of restoring with an abundance of God's outpouring. God wants nothing more than to bless his people, this includes restoring those things the enemy has taken away. I've known many folks the devil has taken away their victory, destroyed their marriage and ruined their health. God speaks of giving back those things going back years to restore, what's been take away. The key to this is allowing the Spirit to lead you in the ways of the Lord. You can't live wrong and be right with God, the promises are "yea and amen" to them that believe and keep his commandments. God has more in store for you than the hope of a tree, God has life eternal. Jesus is now preparing a place, for a prepared people. Are you ready? |
