| Perhaps today. |

24:36But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 24:37 But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 24:41 Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 24:43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 24:44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. 24:45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 24:46Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. A year ago, in The United States, a message was sent out across the nation that millions of TV sets would stop working today, Feb,17, 2009. unless they would be able to receive digital signals. Notices started showing up in electronic stores, and as time went on the government decided to offer free coupons of $40 to purchase a converter box. I suspect that many people took the necessary steps to make sure their TV set would work when they turned it on today. I know my husband did. We usually respond well to warnings tied to specific dates, but often fail to prepare for an event that will come "some day". When the disciples asked Jesus about the date of His return: 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? He told them," of that day, and hour no {man} knows, no not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only".{ v.36 }. Then He urged them to be prepared so that they would not be taken by surprise." Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect." { v.44 }. We don't know when Jesus will return: He may come at any time. He could come as I write this, or as you are reading this. Praise God! When we make our daily plans, are we aware that Christ may return? Are we saying "Perhaps Today." Are we prepared to meet Him? The darkness deepens! Yes, but dawn is nearer! The Lord from heaven may soon be on His way: The " blessed hope" in these dark days grows dearer, Our Savior Christ will come - perhaps today! - Smith
If Christ comes today will we be ready to meet Him?

| Most people make those kind of decisions about their walk with Christ. Perhaps today I will give up smoking, perhaps today I'll quit my drug habit, perhaps today I'll stop fornicating but they go on not realizing that one more day may be too late. Unfortunately when Jesus comes not many are going to go with him. How many were spared from the flood? How many were spared from Sodom and Gomorrah? How many will be spared if Jesus came right now? |

Amen to all the comment's. Souls, Souls, It is not just us who have been enlightened, the Lord is seeking, those who are in this world and are without hope!! Time is short, Yvelisse and pandabear, we must be ready. And of course you know this to be true also Bro Jay. Good analogy about Perhaps Today. May we all continue to not be weary in well doing, especially in the house of faith.
