Claudia GiuffreSt. Gertrude’s School8th Grade“What Success Means to Me” Success is a Story Success- a seven letter word. People tell, and are told stories of success every day. Some people look at success as the person with the most money. However, the way I see it is that that perspective is so very far from how we should look at it. Other people shouldn’t dote upon success if it is not theirs. If it truly is your success then you should be the one in admiration of yourself. You shouldn’t seek others approval. This life was given to you and you are the one who is there to choose what becomes of it. The way I look at it is everyone has a story. And if you don’t write it yourself then someone else is going to write it for you. But should that be how it is? Or should every individual person step up and grab a pen and just write in their mind, on paper, figuratively. However they choose to write their story; their story of success, their story of love, their story of adventure or mystery; of whatever they choose. As long as it’s written by you, it’s worth it. So success to me is a pen, a paper, and an idea. Success to me is writing a story to my life, and they’re being one writer, and that writer being the one living the story. |
