| When you have regrets |

3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. When you have regrets Regrets are hard to let go of. We all have some type of regret that we wished we could go back and change. Often times, well a lot of times, we find that we beat ourselves up over them. It may be about something we done to someone else, past sins or even choices that we made in life that we thought was right at the time. A lot of us cannot move on or get past them and it hinders our future. Whether its in our walk and relationship with God or relationships with other people. We tend to bring up these regrets (or past sins) to God again and again, asking for forgiveness over and over. However we forget that God said in Isaiah 43:25 “I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.” When we ask Him for forgiveness for something the second time, he says, “What are you talking about? I don’t even remember your sin because I already forgave you.” Sometimes, we know that God has forgiven us but we haven’t forgiven ourselves. The only way to deal with regrets and past sins is to let go of the past. You will never have a blessed and prosperous future hanging on to the past. LET GO AND FORGIVE YOURSELF. Think about this: if God – the creator of the universe- has forgiven you and cleansed you, then surly you can forgive yourself. Let Gods love and peace fill you as you accept his forgiveness by forgiving yourself. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I am so tired of dealing with this regret. Thank you for forgiving me. I choose to forgive my self and let go of the past. In your name. Amen.
