| John 3:30 |

One of my favorite verses is John 3:30. It's a very short verse, but holds so very much direction for each of us. "He must become greater; I must become less." (NIV) See what John is saying? In order for Christ to be able to move in our lives and in our hearts, we must give up the person that we are and become the person He wants us to be. So few words; so much meaning. If we hold on to our worldly ideals and still try to follow Christ, it would be like serving two masters. We'll hate one and love the other; never really giving to the truth. If we become less of this world and more of the Spirit we will become more the Christian we claim to be. Are we truly faithful and a Christ follower, or are we playing at it? Am I less Janet and more Janet the faithfilled believer who is strong in her convictions? This is the direction I strive to go; I become less and allow Him to become the greatest in my life He can be! |
