These two verses, and the several that follow in 1 Corinthians, present St. Paul's (and thus the Church's) theology and teachings
of the human body. This is critically important to our understanding of God's plan for us individually and generally. For those of you unfamiliar with Pope John Paul II's writings generally termed "The Theology of the Body," I recommend them for all Christians, whether you be Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, or Eastern Rite. We are all Christians, and a fundamental understanding of God's plan for us corporally is essential to living a pure life. We are all called to
purity in our daily lives. The world today presents such a perverted view of our sexual lives (the "if it feels good do it" mentality) that many thousands of young people every day are drawn away from Christ's teachings by the media, their friends, and even their parents.
These verses should be printed on the front doors of all of our churches. "
Do you nor know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God?"
6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts,
6:10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God.
