| BEHOLDING & REFLECTING - Part Deux |

How desperately do you think God is seeking an intimate relationship with us? Do you believe God is looking for that relationship within our numerous divergent churches – or on a one-on-one basis? {Quote from Part One} "There is not one person on planet earth that is exactly the same down to our eyes, fingerprints, and DNA. We are all unique, according to God's own personal design. I believe God wants to express Himself through us for the world to see, and experience His loving divine nature as we live out His divine (eternal) life through our uniqueness in each act of random kindness to others as we reflect Him."
What we "behold" is what we will "reflect." After Moses had beheld the glory of God, he reflected God’s glory. We tend to behold what we hold in highest esteem to us personally. One common denominator all Christians have is worship. I believe worship is a form of beholding (savoring or basking in) God and it can happen anywhere, anytime as Jesus proclaimed in John 4.. Worship cannot be manufactured. Worship HAPPENS when we behold God. There is no limitation as to how or where God might manifest Himself. It might be on a mountain, church, in nature or unexpectedly in our daily living.
We can worship God alone, with two or three, or with thousands. Whatever the case, it seems to me that God communes in worship with us on a one-on-one basis regardless of where we are or how many we are with at that moment. That's how personal He is. If we are born again, we have received His Spirit and that is our link to God...in spirit. Jesus prayed for that oneness in spirit right before He went to the cross, so that others might believe when they see that oneness reflected in and through us.
I used to think worship was a one way or one directional communion toward God. Now I'm considering it is an one-on-one, two way flow. Reflecting is the outflow of beholding. Reflecting is for others as they see the love and divine nature being reflected in our day to day living. IT IS THROUGH BEHOLDING THAT WE ARE BEING TRANSFORMED INTO HIS LIKENESS. IT IS HIS LIKENESS WE SHOULD BE REFLECTING TO THE WORLD. Reflect on this:3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being changed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:184:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for such the Father seeks to worship him. John 4:23 RSV 17:21 that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. John 17:21 RSV |
